Actress Lindsay Lohan and two other people have been taken to hospital after the Herbie: Fully Loaded (http://g.msn.co.uk/1ETGBEN0/124980.4?http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?FORM=SRHBDY&q=Fully Loaded&&HL=keywordInt) star's Mercedes-Benz (http://g.msn.co.uk/1ETGBEN0/124980.4?http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?FORM=SRHBDY&q=Mercedes-Benz&&HL=keywordInt) convertible collided with a van in west Hollywood.
Witnesses claimed 19-year-old Lohan was trying to avoid paparazzi photographers when the crash occurred.
The actress was involved in a road accident last June as she tried to avoid a photographer.
Lohan and a female passenger in her car received minor injuries, said Sgt Diane Hecht (http://g.msn.co.uk/1ETGBEN0/124980.4?http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?FORM=SRHBDY&q=Sgt Diane Hecht&&HL=keywordInt) of the Los Angeles County Sheriff (http://g.msn.co.uk/1ETGBEN0/124980.4?http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?FORM=SRHBDY&q=Los Angeles County Sheriff&&HL=keywordInt)'s Department.
The driver of the van, which was knocked into a parked vehicle, suffered moderate injuries, she added.
The accident was witnessed by a number of people, including Victoria Recano (http://g.msn.co.uk/1ETGBEN0/124980.4?http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?FORM=SRHBDY&q=Victoria Recano&&HL=keywordInt), a reporter for the syndicated television show The Insider (http://g.msn.co.uk/1ETGBEN0/124980.4?http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?FORM=SRHBDY&q=The Insider&&HL=keywordInt).
She claims she saw Lohan and her passenger run into an antiques store immediately after the accident.
Javier Ramirez, who works at Hideaway House (http://g.msn.co.uk/1ETGBEN0/124980.4?http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?FORM=SRHBDY&q=Hideaway House&&HL=keywordInt) antiques, said he recognised Lohan and added: "She was very upset and kept saying: 'Oh my God, oh my God, I can't believe it'.
Ramirez said Lohan and her passenger left after a few minutes and although both were shaken up, neither appeared badly hurt.
