View Full Version : Top Secret - EastEndings
Eastenders bosses are keeping stars in the dark - by filming different endings for Christmas episodes.
Cast and crew have been given censored scripts and will only be allowed to read the scenes they are working on. They have been ordered to treat scenes as top secret to keep everyone guessing.
Only a handful of executives will know if warring lovebirds Kat and Alfie Moon will get back together before they quit Albert Square. Or if newlyweds Sharon and Dennis Rickman will split.
An insider said "producers want it to be Fort Knox at Elstree, the scripts are blacked out. Three big stars are leaving, Jessie Wallace, Shane Ritchie, Nigel Harmen and a fourth, Letitia Dean is taking a break."
A BBC1 spokesman said "happy and sad endings" would be filmed for the Christmas Day double and New Year show. He added: "We'll make up our mind which versions to show at the last minute."

I agree but I am sure that someone will find out what is going to happen
Its better not to know, IMO. Its makes it so much more exciting. EastEnders could get major big ratings for these episodes and I am so glad they are doing this. Corrie and Emmerdale have gotten higher ratings recently when they keep things secret (the 'Sharlie' wedding and the recent car crash and Zoe's trial in Emmerdale). Easties needs to do the same. If it helps Easties, then I can wait, and I will have to as I won't be in the country over Christmas so I will have to tape it all. :crying: :crying: :( :(

It's definitely Kat & Alfie on Xmas day and Dennis and Sharon New Year.
K&A at the races takes place sometime in Dec prior to Xmas.
i dont really need to know - would be nice if something was kept a suprise

it would be nice for once not to know what is going on!!
I think its better not to know, some of the time.
I'd like to know, but also wouldn't like to know if that makes sense to anyone lol. As long as there are some nice things happening for a change, I'll be happy :D

Its so much more exciting when you don't know what is going to happen. I hope the outcomes of these storylines are kept a secret because I just can't resist reading the spoilers!
i hope it is kept secret but i have a feeling papers like the sun will leak it out

no it cant be shannis
I can't understand how they think they are going to keep it quiet and just give each actor their own lines. They film quite a way in advance and surely different endings will result in different directions of filming for the future. Wouldn't that make it hard for them to decide at the last minute which ending to show?
I need to know whats gonna happen!

Hiya!!
Ofcourse i really really want to know what is going to happen over Christmas, but not knowing what's going to happen is going to be more exciting, and EastEnders will get more viewers, because people don't already know what's going to happen,so they have to watch EastEnders to know.

I think it is good to keep it a secret. We normally know what happens at christmas, so this will eb quite fun to have to wait so long to know.

Hiya!!
Yeah,i also think that it will be more fun and exciting, you shouldn't always know what's going to happen exactly.
Especially with the big Storylines they always have at Christmas in Soapworld,it would be nice to have some suprises!!

Ee is going to be soo weird without 6 of its biggest names, theyve been the ones who ave been at the focuss completelt for at least the last two years. Just think i doubt we will be seen any more tow handers and special episodes like that after they all leave there will be no one to carry them.
I hope sarah phelps has written Chrisses exit aswell, she hasnt been seen for a while so hopefully there saving her for chissies final and maybe next tuesday aswell.

It said in all about soap that Kat leaves before Alfie and he hits rock bottom.
It said in all about soap that Kat leaves before Alfie and he hits rock bottom.
Does that mean that the rumor about Alfie comitting suicide might be true then?

Two episodes at different times. They usually have a gap of around two hours in between the two.
It said in all about soap that Kat leaves before Alfie and he hits rock bottom.
I would think this is only a possibe ending. I don't think anyone will know what really happens until the last minute.

It is a good idea.. to keep things secret.. its better when viewers dont know so they will stay and watch it to see what happens.. if we were told and we didnt like the storyline we wouldnt watch it..they should do it more often.. but i do wanna know what happens with sharon and dennis lol!
