EastEnders' Joe Swash has returned home having been diagnosed with a brain infection.
23-year-old Swash, who plays Mickey Miller on the soap, was rushed to hospital last week, worrying both family and colleagues.
He has now been diagnosed with a mild version of meningoencephalitis, an uncommon brain infection which causes inflammation of brain tissue and attacks the linings of the brain. However, whilst the condition can be life-threatening, Swash's agent has revealed that the actor is "on his way back to a complete recovery with no lasting effects", BBC News reports.
The statement explained: "Joe Swash returned home over the weekend following a brief spell in hospital.
"Joe wants to thank everyone for their support during the last few days. He has asked that he be given some time and privacy to relax and recover before he gets back to work."
He is expected to begin work again before Christmas.
get well soon :)
