Wednesday 19th October
DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) dons a prison officer’s uniform and goes undercover at Stonewall female prison to investigate a recent spate of drug overdoses. With the help of Cath Wilson (Pauline Quirke), now an inmate at Stonewall, Jo makes the most of her inside source to find out how the drugs are coming into the prison.
During the investigation, Jo gets to know inmate Steph King (Zoe Thorne) and starts to unravel a trail of drug dealing and corruption involving the prison’s top dog, Cheri Watkins (Penny Layden).
Meanwhile, PC Yvonne Hemmingway (Michele Austin) comes into contact with ex-boyfriend Nick Austin (Steve Toussaint) when she investigates a shooting in Sun Hill. The victim, a young woman called Shanti Das (Jade Ewen), is somehow connected to Nick. When Yvonne discovers that he has hidden vital evidence to the case, she is forced to arrest him.
Elsewhere, the relationship between PC Dan Casper (Chris Jarvis) and Rochelle Barratt (Anna Acton) becomes strained when they clash over the arrest of a young drug user, Richie Williams (Ricky Nixon).
Thursday 20th October
DC Jo Masters (Sally Rogers) continues to work undercover, investigating the widespread cocaine smuggling at Stonewall female prison. She discovers the drugs are coming in through the visitors hall and is shocked to see corrupt prison officers turning a blind eye to the goings on.
Jo watches Cheri (Penny Layden) bullying fellow prisoner Steph, (Zoe Thorne) and forcing her to collect drugs from the visitors. DCI Jack Meadows (Simon Rouse) and DC Suzie Sim (Wendy Kweh) organise for PC’s Tony Stamp (Graham Cole) and Reg Hollis (Jeff Stewart) to attend a visitors’ morning as undercover CID officers and as the drugs are passed from visitor to prisoner – the culprits are eventually arrested.
Later, Jo is stunned to find Cath (Pauline Quirke) has taken over as top dog. She realises that Cath has been using her for her own ends all along and decides to get her own back…
PC Yvonne Hemmingway (Michele Austin) is forced to arrest her ex-boyfriend, Nick (Steve Toussaint) for destroying evidence and he reluctantly helps DS Sam Nixon (Lisa Maxwell) with the attempted murder enquiry investigation. Despite everything that has happened between them, Nick shocks PC Yvonne Hemmingway by asking her for a second chance. But will the lonely PC take him back?
