What has happened to Minty and Sam??

Is it just me or does anyone else think that being as Minty was so obsessed with Sam he should be doing everything he can to prove her innocence with Billy and Peggy? Especially as Phil asked Minty to look out for her? I mean he hasnt even been to visit her in jail, hes going off for pointless week's in France. In my opinion they have totally ruined his character, he went from being Phil's hard mate to an idiot who is trying to pull women every episode! They could have used Minty in this storyline to team with Billy and Peggy to get at Chrissie and maybe even flaten that annoying wannabe hard man Jake!! Can't wait till Grant and Phil return, hopefully one of them will flatten Jake first time they see him!

yeah i have to say i thought that a bit wierd he hasnt mentioned it or visited, he woiuld have been one of the first to visit her and would have been doing everything he could to help! so for him not to be is a bit strange!!

I agree. The writers did well by bringing Stacey into the plot but I think they missed a great chance to bring Minty into the story as well. Minty needs more to do and he would have been great teaming up with Billy and Peggy. If the writers wanted they could even have brought Garry into the story as well, as Minty could have asked Garry to help as he was a honoury Slater before, although he does not really have anything to do with them anymore. Garry and Minty could have helped to put pressure on the Slaters to 'fess up about the false alibi.

I agree too. Minty should be totally committed to establishing Sam's innocence. I think it's poor writing,it's not consistent with the characters involved.

I totally agree with everything that's been said here about Minty, you don't just "go off" someone that quick, I mean he was besotted with her a few months ago, and not to even mention her in conversation seems unreal....

Yes although they did have a falling out. Minty realised that he was being manipulated by Sam, and his life wasn't his own anymore, so he decided to move out and give her the flat, so he could move on. I still think he cares for her but maybe knowing that she has her family, he doesn't feel needed anymore.

But I do agree, a bit more concern wouldn't go astray.

Yeah but minty has not talk to Sam since she got married to Andy. Maybe he thought ok I tried to tell you about Andy and you never listening so I am going to move on… He has changed as he was the hard man when Phil was around but than Phil went and Minty had no-one to tell him who to beat up and he kind of went Soft as he fancy Sam. And Sam did tell him to leave her alone and maybe Peggy told him too. But if he just stayed strong and stood by Sam than maybe she would not be in jail now… but they lost touch and Peggy has not asked minty why he not gone to see Sam... But than it might upset him if he saw her in jail, so in the end he just left her to it... but he was there, When she moved in to her new house… Billy don't talk to Minty.. Walford has gone mad, Also how come Phil never went to Minty for the money..

I think that it's very strange that Minty and Peggy didn't Meet yet,but i think that when Phil gets back,we will see Phil and Minty together!!

Also,on Monday,Billy and Peggy went to the Millers' party,and Garry and Minty were there too,so surely Minty and Peggy could have spoke then!!
