THE ex-lover of stricken Kate Moss was rushing to her side in a rehab clinic last night with their toddler daughter.
Jefferson Hack and little Lila caught a flight from Heathrow to Phoenix, Arizona.
The supermodel is being treated at the £2,250 a day Meadows clinic there following her cocaine shame.
Jefferson's decision to jet to her side came during an emotional phone call earlier in the week.
A source close to the magazine publisher told the News of the World: "Jefferson has told us that Kate rang Lila, who was three on Thursday, to wish her happy birthday and it was very emotional.
"He spoke to Kate too and told her how much he loved her and that they were both coming out to see her. Despite their differences he's really worried about her and has been worried since she started dating Pete Doherty.
"He wants to put all that in the past and just help her get better.
"They hadn't seen each other for a while and, because of Pete, they'd only speak about Lila and weren't as close as they once were. But that's all changed now."
Earlier this month Kate, 31, was caught on camera snorting cocaine. Then the News of the World revealed she'd taken part in drug-fuelled lesbian orgies. She issued a statement, saying: "I want to apologise to all of the people I have let down because of my behaviour, which has reflected badly on my family, friends, co-workers, business associates and others."
The recording studio where Kate took the drug was raided days ago by Scotland Yard's serious crime squad. A forensics team spent four hours combing the area for illegal substances.
Kate and 33-year-old Jefferson met in 2001 when he interviewed her for his trendy fashion magazine Dazed & Confused.
He famously began the conversation by saying: "You smell of pee."
They began dating and a year later he proposed. Kate gave birth to Lila Grace in October 2002 but their relationship broke down before they could marry.
In May 2004 Kate, who has previously been treated in the Priory clinic, sent Jefferson packing from their north London home after a series of rows.
