View Full Version : Love: No one will take Cobains ashes
Rocker Courtney Love fears she'll never be able to properly lay her late husband Kurt Cobain to rest because fans will turn his final resting place into a spectacle.
The tragic Nirvana star's ashes are in a bank vault and Love thinks it's time to put them somewhere special, so Cobain's fans can pay their respects - but she can't find anyone who'll taken on the responsibility of being the guardian of the remains.
She tells US rock magazine Spin, "No one will take Kurt's ashes because they don't want the crowds... I don't want Kurt's ashes in a bank vault somewhere. I want to be able to say, 'I've laid you out somewhere, and people can come.'
"I was up in Seattle, Washington recently and drove by our old house on Lake Washington Boulevard. It's crazy. It looks like Pere-Lachaise (Paris cemetery resting place of Jim Morrison)... Syringes, bottles, tree carvings. That's what kids do."

I can't believe she has put his ashes in a vault. Why can't she just spread them in his favourite place and not tell anyone about it???
Well i do get her on this - has anyone seen Jim morrisons grave and what the fans have done to his resting place?

Kurt deserves to be put to rest. Courntney putting Kurts ashes in a vault is heartless, if she really loved him she would have just let him rest in wherever it was he loved best. She's just trying to make it a big deal, all she has to do is say goodbye and let him be. Ok, Kurt may have some pretty starstruck fans but if she doesn't tell anyone she could easily respect Kurts wishes and make sure he comes to no harm. She'll probably say she needs to tell the fans because its their right to know where their hero lies blah blah blah. whatever, just so long as she doesn't let him sit in that vualt for any longer. R.I.P kurt.
I think what the problem is, is that no one wants to be responsible for them. He had so many fans, and osmeones bound to find out what shes trying to do. Imagine if something happened to them before they were scattered/buried?

This is what they done to Jim Morrisons grave when they found out where it was - can you imagin what some of the fans would do if they found out where she had put his ashes?
He deserves peace. If thats in a vault, then so be it. He spent his life in the lime-light, his death shouldn't be the same.

yup apparently loads of famous people are buried there and now some people refuse to use the graveyard because of the fans going there all the time

He doesn't deserve them just being put in a bank vault though, he should get some peace, its up to her to do it.
she should just scatter his ashes
