Courteney Cox could be making an appearance on Desperate Housewives, according to the New York Post.

The newspaper reckons that the Scream actress is in talks to take the role of a mental institute escapee in a future episode, marking her first part since giving birth to daughter Coco Riley last year.

This new follows recent reports that creator Marc Cherry wanted to avoid letting celebrity guest stars onto Wisteria Lane.

I could see 'Monica' as a really uptight preschool teacher rubbing Lynette up the wrong way. Or some sort of perfectionist housewife trying to out perfect Bree.

If she does get a part I just hope that they don't make her ditzy like Susan - I cannot start her or her mother, if they fall over one more time I would be tempted to pray someone puts the boot in.
