I have had it confirmed only late today that TV’s daytime duo Richard and Judy are to take on cameo roles in the hit ITV drama Footballers’ Wives.
The pair will be playing themselves, but conducting a fictional interview with a wife trying to clear her name…
Richard and Judy are following in the footsteps of a host of celebrities already to have filmed guest appearances, including Peter Andre and his new bride, Jordan, Anthony Worrall Thompson, Lionel Blair, footie ace David Seaman, and IT girl Tara Palmer Tomkinson.
A spokeswoman for the show told me: “It’s great to have them on board. We’re so excited. They are perfect for Footballers’ Wives.”
I’m also told they are really entering into the spirit of the show. That doesn’t surprise me and I think we can look forward to an interesting episode.
