Are you a smoker? If so go onto silk cut or something with lower tar until your feeling better.

I am a smoker yeah but i havent smoked today, i cant it hurts to much, but its not down to the smoking, its cos ive had the flu, my mum has the same problem, and shes not a smoker, loads of people have had it.
Ive gone through so many cough medicines over the last 2 weeks nothing is working! Ill try the salt water and see if that helps, thanks

i have the same kind of cough i am in bits and it is hurting my throat when i cough im sucking on Soothers but i think thats making me worse - and i have my driving test 2moro i dont know what to do :( :crying:

Its horrible isnt it!! I start college tomorrow and i dont fancy sitting in a hall where its all quiet and me coughing my guts up lol. I swear im gonna explode from coughing soon! Driving and coughing is gonna be a tough one good luck!

Thanks im going to need it i bet when i wake up in the morning i will have the flu or something i have just had the worse luck the past month im not even shocked any more, im going to try and get some vicks vapour rub later and use that sometimes that breaks up the cough and also if you put it in a bowl with hot water, put a towel over your head and just inhale it kinda clears you out aswell and its good for your face too lol

Yeah my mates bf did that for me the other week when i was round her house! i had the worse blocked up nose, it certainly helped! Not sure if it will help a cough though!

I tryed that i couldnt drink it it was too sweet maybe i made it wrong? i just lashed it all in a cup :rotfl:

Simple Cough Syrup
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup honey
1/4 cup warm water
Combine lemon juice and honey in a bowl. Slowly stir in the water. Store in a covered jar in the refrigerator - take 1-2 tbsp as needed for cough.

To soothe a sore throat, add 1 tbsp of mixture to a cup of comfrey root, chamomile or rosemary tea.

DIRECTIONS:
Pour water into a mug. Add honey and heat in the microwave for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Stir in lemon juice, mixing until honey is dissolved, then stir in the sugar.

Thanks! Couldnt get the lemon got the honey though, will it work? How do i do that? With a tea bag? Tried the honey tea tasted very sweet!

Or get a big dolup of vabour rub, put it in a cup and pour boiling water in it and sniff the steam!!

Have no Whiskey, dont drink it!

No Vabour rub, cant be bothered to take another trip out lol.

I dont think so no, lol well im not coughing as much i must admit! But its still hurts! Probably hasnt helped that ive had a couple of fags, but i did buy a packet of Silk Cut! I think i caught it off my mum, i had the flu last week then i got over it, then my mum got it and i think shes given it back to me!! :angry:

oh and watch you dont smoke more than normal with silk cut if your used to a stronger brand that'll make it worse lol

Still got a bit of a cough but its changed dramatically since the other day!! Thanks Luna! Im actually addicted to the honey and hot water now lol
