One of my regrets in life. Went into computer science instead of medicine. At 33, I'm too old to have a career change. What do you want to specialise in?

Hey, there are people older then you on the forum who have gone into medicine. One guy started last year, at 44 years. A lot of the mature students are on average 36 years old. So 33 is considered young :)

As I have a family, I am considering becoming a GP, however, I think this will probably change five years down the line, when the children are older. I am also interested in cardiology, the heart fascinates me.

Five years studing, 2 years house, 3 years duty training - i'll be 43!

Back when I was filling in my UCAS and PCAS I wanted the easy road, and I've always found computers easy going.

Now at 33 I need more of a challenge, and working on medical systems has given me a great insight into an alternative career if it was possible
