VETERAN EastEnders actress Hilda Braid has been given a personal assistant — to remind her to go to work.

BBC bosses acted after 72-year-old Hilda — who plays Nana Moon — threw filming into disarray after forgetting to show up.

Now a worker is with her to assist her in learning lines and make sure she is in the right place at the right time.

An EastEnders source said last night: “Hilda didn’t turn up and people got concerned for her because of her age.

“A search party was even sent out. She is a bit old, bless her, and sometimes has to be reminded what scenes she is in and what to say.”

Popular Nana is to be killed off this Christmas in a fire at The Vic.

I think if it's a fire it'll be something to do with the Mitchells. My theory...Jake asks Johnny to buy the Vic so him and Chrissie can get away. When that goes wrong and Chrissie's arrested Johnny offers Jake the chance to manage to Vic for him so Jake moves the family back in. Thinking that Johnny is in the pub the Mitchells torch it to get revenge because Johnny beats them to buying it.

Ive heard different rumours about this, I think its either grant + the mitchells who burn it down to get revenge on chrissie, or jonny allen. Or After selling it to the mitchells chrissie burns it down to get revenge on them. I think itits got potential to be a good storyline but I think its horrible killing nana off like that. Why do they want to kill that sweet old lady off by burning her to death its horrible:( :( :( Why cant she die of an illness or something.

If the mitchells or Johnny Allen do burn it down, how would they know that Nana is inside? Surely they wouldn't mean to kill her.
