Captain Jack has no time left for Season Two.
John Barrowman is so in demand at the moment, he can't even squeeze in a cameo for the second series of Doctor Who.
"There was talk of me coming back for the next series, but because of the commitments I have it just wasn't going to work out," the actor told BBC news.
"I won't be in Season Two but I will be back for Season Three," he added.
John will, however, be back on our screens quite soon for a BBC One variety show, tentatively called Simply Musicals. It will air on Saturday nights in early 2006.
"It's important to bring theatrical stuff back to television," says Barrowman, who's had lead roles in Sunset Boulevard and Anything Goes. "Licence fee payers want variety, and they're going to get it."
Barrowman currently features in the acclaimed West End play A Few Good Men, and is soon to begin rehearsals for a Christmas pantomime that will open the day after the play finishes
