My favourite resturant of all time is a place called the witchery in Edinburgh - it is very expensive and serves food is a bit more soiphisticated - (expect to spend about £100 for a 3 course meal for 2 with wine and coffee)

I like the secret garden at the Witchery. also love Champaneys near Linlithgow. Only for a special occasion thoough it is really expensive. (£150 for 2 course, wine coffee for 2) Fab steak. I haven't been to the Ale House next door but I have heard really good reports, and it is supposed to be cheaper.
