I am currently flat hunting and dont have a clue where to start.

I have been on the council list for about 7 years and still not got anywhere near the top of the list - so i am now looking in the local papers and stuff.

But im not sure what to look for when im at a viewing

Has anyone got any tips for me?

dg and central heating!!! never rent a place without!!!!!!

look for damp, they hoide it well by painting ovr it but within weeks it will be backtwice we have rented a FLAT and then damp appeaes!!

They also hide small damps behind picture frames or photos don't they..

check the ceilings in the room beneath the bathroom and check they are really solid
