This is from the daily star. Former Sugababe Siobhan Donaghy has begged EE bosses to give her the role of new hippy character India. Casting for the role has begun with new age hippy India being one of several new characters joining EastEnders at Christmas.

Also Robbie might be back.

Dean Gaffney, who played market-sweeper Robbie Jackson in EastEnders, could be set to return to the soap.

Since leaving the show a couple of years ago when his character "moved to India", there have been various whispers that he could be coming back.

Now it is thought Sonia's brother may soon be in Walford again for good - and Dean has hinted that Robbie will be a far edgier character than the one that moved away.

However, Dean's agent has said there has been no official offer

India sounds good, a character with a bit of something to her, sounds like Eastender's version of Sky Mangel from Neighbours.

I dont want Dean Gaffney back at all, especially after what i read about him in the paper on sunday! he is so arrogant and thinks his all that just because he has been in a soap! what an idiot, hes hardly a celebrity! his a minger!

getting visions of her driving into walford in a battered out voltswagen camper with all hippy flowers patterns on it, and she drives the smoking vehicle to the Arches, and Gary and Minty flirt with her, but she's a man hater so she has none of it

god im so good at this storyline malarchy!

sounds good but im really not looking forward to christmas time (and later) in EE because loadsa good peeps are leavin :(

India, Deano Wicks, and they said at the beginning of this post numerous new ones, lets also remeber we have Joe and Namoi, and soon Dawn... and i have a feeling inside that Stephan Beale will be back on our screens this time next year

I get what you mean - maybe if they brought him back and got him straight into the serious storylines people would forget about the silly ones in the past :searchme:

Eugh. God no, i dont like him. Never had.
He was like, number 7 on the Celeb Mingers list, along with Mutya form Sugababes, [See what i did there..? Siobhan was in Sugababes :P]
