Britney Spears has admitted that she is apprehensive about her impending motherhood.

Breakingnews.ie reports that the singer is both excited and nervous about her and Kevin Federline's autumn arrival.

She said: "I've always known that I was going to have a baby one day. But there's times when I get a little scared. It's mind blowing to have a child.

"I think it's kind of healing, too. Like, to your body. And therapeutic. All the secrets from your family come out of the closet for some reason. But it's good. They have to come out sometime. You know what I mean? Just your needs and wants."
