I read to many books, but it comes and goes, it could be months without reading or it could be 4 books in amonths time, Patricia Cornwell is one of my all time favourites, but Grisham , Koontz and King take my Fancy as well. Dan Brown is great, I just read those for pleasure and don not believe that it is true, and a Dutch writer Tomas Ross, he writes about Dutch intelligence.

Have you read her other book PS i love you? that ws heart breaking i dont think there was one page i didn't cry at

my favourite book is black beauty
Mine too, though it makes me cry.

I'm into Terry Pratchett at the minute (I've only read a few though, Mort, Equal Rites, Jingo and Reaper Man (?) all in the wrong order of course!) and I like P.D James (Shroud for a Nightengale, Devices and Desires is excellent!).

On the classics front I like Wuthering Hieghts, Sherlock Holmes and To Kill a Mockingbird, I prefer more modern crime books.

I want to read some Stephen King, is he any good? Is he particularly scary? The only thing that is stopping me is my mum saying that it'll be too scary! :hmm: Which is his best??

Jade

Stephen Kings ok, it is a bit scary though.

I'm just about to start reading the latest Karen Slaughter book, Inedible - looks excellent!!!

I've also just finished reading Jodi Pincoult, called My Sisters Keeper, have also read Plain Truth and The Pact - all are excellent!!!!

I've also got Where Rainbows End by Cecilia Aherne to read after Karen Slaughter, PS I love you was excellent I couldnt put it down and cried buckets!!

It depends what kind os scary do you like, Carrie is a classic and Firestarter is also good, if you're into scary people. Pet cemetary is also classic. But be carefull King also wrote some psychological thrillers, which are o.k. if you're into that sort of thing.
Dean Koontz can be very scary monsterclock is good.
Hope it helps you to decide.

Marshmallow Magic by Karen McCombie - it's a teen book about a girl who got bullied in an emotional way because she's a bit weird. It was really good because I could relate to it sort of - I had a thing a year or two back where I liked really weird things, lol but I got a bit of a hard time for it. The girl's nickname is Lemmie, which is sort of how I got my nickname because most people call me Emma as I'm not too bigger fan of my first name but I changed it to Emmie as I loved the book so much, lol.
