Sarah Platt takes desperate measures to get ahead at work

Agreeing to take over a client meeting from Carla, Sarah Platt welcomes a late and flustered Eli to Underworld - unaware that Kit was the ‘overzealous traffic cop’ who had made Eli late by insisting on searching his car because he was parked illegally.

As Sarah does her best pitch to Eli, they are both shocked when Kit arrives at the factory. Furious that Kit is Sarah’s boyfriend, Eli makes to leave but Sarah locks him in the office and continues with her pitch!

Abi is annoyed when Carl flirts with Tracy and lets slip that he’s staying in room 101 at the Chariot Square Hotel. Later, Carl assures her that his exchange with Tracy was just a cover and suggests they meet up later at the hotel.

Carl enters his hotel room and smiles as he hears the shower running, ready to have some afternoon delight with Abi. But how will he react when Tracy pokes her head round the bathroom door?

After Kevin and Abi share a tender moment at number 13, Carl arrives and tells Abi about his encounter with Tracy and how he turned her down. But a panicked Abi bundles him out of the door.

Steve places some lagers in the fridge to try and make amends with Tyrone. But when Cassie asks him to show her some of his pole dancing moves he can’t resist. Tyrone returns home and is horrified to find Steve and Cassie in a state of undress. Can Cassie persuade him to let Steve move back in?

At the hotel, Ronnie watches Debbie at work and worries she’s pushing herself too hard. Debbie is less than impressed when Ronnie gets Ryan to come in on his day off to help out.

Adam and Dee-Dee welcome Alya back to the team. The meeting with Ollie over, Dee-Dee confides in Alya that she fancies him but worries about the conflict of interest.

At the station, DI Costello advises Lisa to keep her relationship with Kit purely professional and Lisa’s taken aback when he says he wouldn't want to see her get dragged down with him.

Wednesday

Tracy's suspicions hit the mark

Debbie encourages Tracy Barlow to try again with Carl and says the drinks are on her. Meanwhile, Carl meets up with Abi in the ginnel and says that while she’s still having sex with Kevin, it means he’s free to have sex with Tracy if he wants.

At No.13, Abi reluctantly starts packing for Mallorca but tells Kevin she can’t find her passport. When he suggests they cancel the holiday, Abi won’t hear of it and tells him to go on ahead, promising that she’ll follow on once she’s obtained a new passport.

At the hotel Carl tells Tracy he is in love with someone else and he’s stunned when Tracy guesses it is Abi! Can he put her off the scent?

Carl tries to get his phone from Abi Webster in their hotel room

Abi Webster realises Carl has been lying to her

Carl enters the garage to find Brody about to steal an expensive motor. Carl warns him that he’ll end up back in the STC and if he wants to learn an easier way to steal cars, then to come and see him when he’s back from Wales.

At the factory, Carla warns Sarah that Eli has been spreading rumours about her to their customers, making her out to be a sexual predator.

DI Costello interviews Kit about Eli’s claims of intimidation and tells him that he’s putting him on desk duty for the foreseeable future, but if anyone asks, it’s because of his injuries, thus avoiding a formal inquiry.

Ollie and Dee-Dee admit they like each other but it would be unethical to get involved with a client. But when Ollie leans in for a kiss, Dee-Dee throws caution to the wind and kisses him back.

Dee-Dee admits that she’d like to take things slowly and confides in James that much as she likes Ollie, she’s going to keep things professional as she doesn’t want her heart broken again.

In the Rovers, Gemma lets slip to Tim that Bernie caught Brody trying to do a runner with the girls.

Tim confronts Brody over his plan and assures him that social services only want what’s best for all three of them and they have to trust their judgement.

Friday

News about Lou sends Joanie into a meltdown at the Metcalfe’s house

At the Metcalfe’s place, Tim reveals to a shocked Sally that Brody was planning to do a runner with the girls. Meanwhile, Brody breaks the news to Joanie and Shanice that their Mum’s been sentenced to four years.

As Sally tries to soothe the distraught girls, Tim answers a knock at the door to find it’s the social worker with a psychologist in tow. As they explain they are happy for the family to stay together, a scream is heard from the garden. What has happened?

Carl is hiding upstairs at number 13 after a night of passion with Abi. Later, Abi is at the corner shop buying lager when a puzzled Tracy sees her.

With Abi out, Debbie has let herself in to do some cleaning but goes dizzy and collapses on the living room floor. Carl rushes down and Abi returns home to find Carl tending to an unconscious Debbie.

Abi calls an ambulance whilst Carl goes back upstairs to hide. Alone at No.13, Carl pulls Abi in for a hug which soon turns into a passionate kiss. Tracy watches them through the kitchen window, a devious smile on her face.

What will she do with this information?

At the hospital, Debbie assures Ronnie and Carl that she’s been given the all clear and tells a guilty Carl she’s sorry he had to return early from Wales.

Ollie calls at the shop to find Dee-Dee there with Laila in her pram. Dee-Dee reveals that Laila is her daughter and suggests they meet for a drink so she can explain.

Carla gives Sarah a hard time and points out that because of her, a whole series of customers are now demanding the same discount as Eli.

Kit feels for Sarah as Carla puts pressure on her to drum up new business to recoup some of the money.

David and Lisa’s bin wars continue and Carla’s amused when Lisa reveals that she’s keeping a note of every time she hears David the dog barking from next door.

At No.7, Aadi tells Dev and Asha that the police have let him off with a caution, he’s spoken to Cousin Vikram and he’s going to start afresh in India.

Coronation Street's Tracy Barlow uncovers Abi and Carl Webster's dirty secret next week, when she spots the pair smooching at No. 13.

With Kevin and Jack away in Spain, Abi and Carl share a steamy night at the Webster house. And it seems as if they've gotten away with their antics ? until Tracy spies the couple kissing through the kitchen window?

"Tracy is the last person you'd want to be caught out by," our Corrie source points out. "She hasn't got a smidgen of empathy at the best of times, let alone when it comes to a love rival.

"Plus, it appears that Tracy has a devious smile on her face after she catches them, so Abi and Carl better brace themselves?"

The week begins with Carl flirtatiously offering his hotel room number to Tracy, which irks Abi to the core. However, his secret lover calms down when Carl reveals that it was a cover and suggests they should meet up later at the Chariot Square.

Subsequently, Carl returns to his room and hears the shower running. Believing that Abi is waiting for him, the mechanic cracks a grin ? but it's soon revealed that it's Tracy who has let herself in! Will Carl give in to his admirer's advances?

"Carl later turns up at No. 13, interrupting a tender moment between Abi and Kev," shares our source. "Taking Abi to one side, Carl privately tells her that Tracy tried it on with him, but he turned her down.

"Abi doesn't hear Carl out for long though, as she pushes him out the door as quick as she can?"

Later in the week, Debbie convinces Tracy to pursue Carl again, and even offers drinks on the house. Meanwhile, Carl meets Abi at the ginnel, where he insists that as long as she sleeps with Kevin, he is free to do the same with Tracy?

Abi's thoughtful as she returns home to pack for her family holiday ? and ends up telling Kevin that she can't find her passport, so he and Jack should go ahead without her.

"It's very convenient timing," muses our source. "Although, Abi doesn't entirely excuse herself, as she tells Kevin that she'll join them once she secures a new passport.

"At the same time, Carl breaks it to Tracy that he's in love with someone else, which leads Tracy to guess that it's Abi. You'll have to see whether he can persuade her otherwise?"

Once Kevin and Jack jet off, Carl and Abi spend the night together. Smitten, Abi picks up lager from the corner shop, which leaves passer-by Tracy feeling confused.

Meanwhile, Debbie lets herself into No.13, unaware that her younger brother is hiding upstairs. However, when Debbie suddenly collapses, Carl has no choice but to race to her side.

Abi arrives home to find Carl tending to his unconscious sibling, and calls for an ambulance and Ronnie, while Carl scurries upstairs. Once the chaos has settled, Abi and Carl share an embrace which leads to a passionate kiss.

As curious Tracy watches on through the window, will she blow Abi and Carl's lives apart? And if so, how will she go about it?

https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/coronation-street/a65657789/coronation-street-spoilers-becky-swain-kit-bombshell/

Coronation Street's Kit Green puts himself in danger next week when he reveals he's been secretly investigating a case of possible police corruption ? involving Lisa Swain's late wife Becky.

The curious copper tells girlfriend Sarah Barlow he's been digging on the down low, but does he have the answers that grieving Lisa is desperate for?

"The mystery of Becky Swain's death deepens," teases our Corrie insider. "Because nobody will talk, Kit smells a rat and is doing his own detective work.

"Can he get to the bottom of this, or is he jeopardising his career when his colleagues insist he keeps his nose out?"

DC Green is on the wrong side of the law for reasons unconnected to the Swain cold case, when he gets involved in Sarah's clash with a potential Underworld client.

Businessman Eli shows up late for a meeting in a foul mood, having been delayed by a police officer who claimed he was illegally parked and searched his car ? which didn't get his day off to the best start.

Kit arrives at the factory to see Sarah, and is stunned to clock Eli ? turns out the fellas have already met?

"Kit was the policeman who stopped him," our source confirms. "What are the chances?

"Eli is already snippy with Sarah, so finding out she's dating the mardiest member of Weatherfield's constabulary doesn't exactly seal their deal."

As Sarah sends her lover packing and attempts some damage limitation with Eli, Kit refuses to let the matter drop. After confronting Eli about his treatment of Sarah, Kit is hauled in at work by his boss, DI Costello.

Straight-talking Costello reveals Eli has made an accusation of intimidation against Kit, so he's placed on desk duty until further notice.

Kit is also ordered to pretend it's because of his injuries in the line of duty ? unless he wants to endure a formal enquiry in light of his other recent activities?

Kit offloads to Sarah about his demotion. However, there's little sympathy from his other half, who berates him for going after Eli and fighting her battles when he wasn't asked.

Steering the conversation around, Kit then has a confession for Sarah which leaves her reeling?

"Kit admits he was on a case not long ago and clocked it was linked to an historic investigation Becky Swain was on," our insider shares.

"When he asked Costello for access to those files, he was told to leave it alone. But Kit continued to investigate in secret, hence Lisa seeing his name on the access request when she went snooping."

What Kit has unearthed about the Becky business must be juicy if he hasn't divulged it to anyone ? will he tell Sarah the full story? And why hasn't he let Lisa in on this yet?
