Britney denies Simpson jealousy

Britney Spears has denied that she is sour over Jessica Simpson starring in The Dukes of Hazzard.

Although Britney was considered for the role of Daisy Duke, finally taken by Simpson, Britney has come to the conclusion that she was fated to be pregnant this year and so the part would have been incompatible with promotion duties.

Britney told WENN: "Yeah (I was offered the role). Ashton Kutcher was supposed to be in it too. But things change and happen for a reason. That wasn't my time. I'm supposed to be pregnant now.

"And I'm proud of Jessica - she's doing really well."
