I dont know about anyone else, but i LOVE re-decorating. Me and my Mum re-decorated the living room, with laminate flooring, a new lick of paint and home-made paintings. Now i'm obsessed with re-decorating, i love it!

I dont understand why its a chore to some people?! Its great!

oh I love it, But its in the blood, my dad was a decorater, and taught me anything I know. Because he was a professional you were not allowed to use the paint roller, ceilings are done with a 6 inch brush. I re did the entire house in October, I went mad new sofas and recarpeted the whole house.

I really love painting walls - well I think I do has been over a year since I did it so I probably love the idea of painting walls rather than doing it

I am re-decorating my room. I am stripping the wallpaper though, that I dont like. Our steamer's too powerful so I have to use hot water and a sponge!

I was only allowed to do the main bit, not the borders. She thought i'd paint or ceiling red by accident

Decorating is a good thing, certain parts of it are boring, but mainly good.

I like redecorating, however, I always get bored half way through, lol! Still, it's worth it for the end product.

Abi
04-09-2005, 18:09
I love changing little bits about my room, but lots of hte time. We have an IKEA being built down the end of my road  so i might do it even more then

Tori
04-09-2005, 18:10
i think we're having one built on a non- existent piece of land

Abi
04-09-2005, 18:13
Mine is literally going to be about 50 metres away!! We're going to get so much traffic, its ridiculous really. It was on capital FM a few weeks back, because its going to be the closest one into central London ever or something like that.

Tori
04-09-2005, 19:05
omg. the traffic is always awful. and building on a non- existent piece of land?? thats mad. they were gonna put it where the tescos now is, but they dissaproved ikea and put a tesco there instead!!

Abi
04-09-2005, 19:44
We're getting IKEA on one side of my road, and a giant Tescos and Flats on the other side! What is it with Tescos and IKEAS going together? Its the same with the one on the North Circular...

Tori
04-09-2005, 19:45
omg! where abouts in london are you?

Abi
04-09-2005, 19:48
sort of West London, a little place called Hillingdon :D umm you've probably never heard of it. Its were the M40 finishes and the A40 starts. The metropoliton line :D

Tori
04-09-2005, 19:49
i've heard of it. i think we stayed there once...

Abi
04-09-2005, 19:50
The Master Brwer hotel is the main place which people stay at, and thats being knocked down for Tescos. IKEA will be opposite

Tori
04-09-2005, 19:52
ok. sounds very hectic and busy. poor you.

Abi
04-09-2005, 19:55
Its not so bad, good for getting into London as its just down the A40. At least the IKEA's will make us decorate more. It might be thereputic, but it is a bit of a chore!

Tori
04-09-2005, 20:00
yeah... stick to the tube! will there be lots of people on the tube with cardboard boxes you think?

Abi
04-09-2005, 20:01
yeah, flat packs!

Tori
04-09-2005, 20:02
don't they hold the tube up though!? you'll come back from london and on the other platform there'll be someone with about 15 boxes trying to get em all on the train!

hazey

sort of West London, a little place called Hillingdon :D umm you've probably never heard of it. Its were the M40 finishes and the A40 starts. The metropoliton line :D I know it well I live just off the A4 in Hounslow, you get Ikea. I get the planes.

Tori
04-09-2005, 20:18

hazey
04-09-2005, 20:50
yay! planes and lots of them i expect? You get use to it though, but glad concorde grounded, it use to vibrate the ground in the garden. Recent strike at the airport and no planes were going over and I couldn't sleep to quiet. :rotfl:

Tori
04-09-2005, 20:55
blimey! concorde was loud!! i know what you mean- you can't sleep if its too noisy, and you can't sleep if its too quiet!
