The time has come to bid a final farewell to Martin Fowler...
...Stacey and Ruby are among those struggling with grief...
...will the service go off without a hitch as emotions run high?
Monday
Stacey Slater was by her ex-husband Martin Fowler's side when he died in the aftermath of the Queen Vic explosion
Martin declared his love for Stacey and the two planned to officially get back together again.
But all of this remains unknown to Martin's other ex-wife, Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton)...
As the day of Martin's funeral arrives, guilty Stacey continues to unravel and hits the bottle again.
Stacey and Martin's teenage daughter, Lily (Lillia Turner), is disgusted by her mum's state.
And Stacey confides in Martin's other ex-wife, Sonia Jackson (Natalie Cassidy), that she can't face going to the funeral!
While the rest of Martin's family and friends gather together for his funeral, will Stacey really miss the opportunity to say a final goodbye to him?
There's been tension between Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and her half-sister, Vicky Fowler (Alice Haig), since her return to Albert Square.
However, the siblings attempt to put their differences aside as they get ready for Martin's funeral.
Vicky's new fella, Ross (Alex Walkinshaw), is worried about her and wants to attend the funeral for emotional support.
However, Ross is warned to back-off by Sharon after the previous angry confrontation with Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) and his partner, Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace)...
Tuesday
Ruby Allen is feeling all kinds of anger and resentment towards her love-rival
Ruby's ex-husband Martin Fowler chose to be a hero on the night of the Queen Vic explosion.
Instead of being with Ruby and their young son, Roman, Martin stayed in the collapsing pub to save his other ex-wife, Stacey.
Which ultimately led to his death...
After the emotion of Martin's funeral, things get heated during the wake.
When Stacey later finds Ruby at the allotment, a confrontation ensues between the long-time love-rivals.
Which leads to a SHOCK revelation that could wreck any hope of peace between them...
Ruby is not the only one who is angry with Stacey.
Her teenage daughter, Lily (Lilliana Turner), has hit the bottle to drown her sorrows after dad Martin's funeral.
And when Stacey returns home to find her daughter drunk, it all kicks-off between mum and daughter again...
Ross (Alex Walkinshaw) tries to put things right with Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
Sharon does not approve of her half-sister Vicki Fowler's (Alice Haig) new man.
Especially not after the way Ross upset Alfie Moon (Shane Richie).
But if Sharon and Alfie are hoping they will soon see the back of Ross, they're in for a surprise...
After taking a mystery phone call, Ross is suddenly on a mission to convince Vicki that they need to stay on in Walford for longer than they planned...
Wednesday
The residents of Albert Square are reeling from the discovery that the late Martin Fowler's market stall has been vandalised by fire
It's a crime that hits home hard and Martin's ex-wife, Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), vows to catch the culprit.
Local copper Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) warns Stacey to let the Police handle the investigation.
But she ain't havin' it!
With all that's been going on at home since Martin's death, including her fallout with teenage daughter Lily (Lilliana Turner), guilty Stacey knows it's time for her to step-up!
After turning detective, Stacey reckons she has all the evidence she needs to prove WHO set fire to Martin's stall...
Who is Stacey planning to confront and accuse of the SHOCK crime?
Ross Marshall (Alex Walkinshaw) has only been in Walford for about five minutes and he has already managed to upset some of the locals.
Ross and his teenage son, Joel (Max Murray), arrived with Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) for her uncle Martin's funeral.
But both Vicki's half-sister, Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) were shocked to discover Vicki is no longer in a relationship with Alfie's younger brother, Spencer.
However, despite being warned to stay away from Martin's funeral, Ross now wants to stick around in Albert Square!
Trouble is, Vicki is already booking flights back home to Australia to support her grieving mum, Michelle Fowler.
But why is Ross so hellbent on remaining in E20?
Thursday
Jean Slater (played by Gillian Wright) defended her daughter Stacey (Lacey Turner) who took off shortly after the death of her ex-husband, Martin Fowler
Stacey's teenage daughter, Lily (Lilliana Turner), felt abandoned by her mum.
Having just lost her adopted dad Martin, Lily was left to look after her own young daughter, Charli, Plus, her other family relatives, Arthur and Hope.
Now that Stacey is back on the scene after Martin's funeral, Jean is hoping it won't be long before mum and daughter can put their differences aside.
And maybe a bit of peace and harmony could be restored at the Slater house!
However, everything kicks-off again on today's episode of the BBC soap with love-rivals Stacey and Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) at loggerheads again...
Ruby decides the time has come to pack her bags and leave Albert Square again!
The situation between her and Stacey over their respective ex-husband Martin is now intolerable.
Jean begs Stacey to stop fighting with Ruby and start healing.
But will stubborn Stacey leave it too late to catch-up with Ruby and attempt to put all the bad blood behind them?
will ruby sell the burnt stall if anyone will buy or let it out for someone else to run
