Kate Lawler: Time For Big Brother To End.

Kate Lawler, official winner of BB3, has sensationally called for BB to be axed. Writing for her New magazine column, issue of 22/08/05, Kate has this to say ...

''This year's BB has been one of the best! The tasks and secret missions were amazing, but I think they put too many zany people in the house again.

Everyone thought the BB4 housemates were boring, but you have to get the balance right. I wish Kemal, Derek & Maxwell had been in the final as well.

BB could go on for ever, but I think they should end it on a high.

Housemates are too aware of how they should act in the house now, and what will happen to them after eviction, so it's all a bit forced. If BB ended now, we'd all miss it, but no one would ever forget it.''

Kate also adds that she is pleased that Anthony won, but that Makosi made BB6 exciting.

I do sort-of agree with Kate but I think celebrity BB should go on even if BB ended.

I think they should do one next year and see how it goes, they now know not to have to many zany people together. I gave up on this years one very early on, so bored. If the next one is as bad as this year then I would say pull the pin on the show.

I agree that too many nutter housemates were put in this year. BB5 was good because it had the right balance so I hope they get the balance right next year as well.

i agree bb5 had a better balance but when they call went in i thought they were all freaks but then they grew on me. This year the only person i liked was Euguge

It would be good for them to end on a high, but i still dont really want it to. I alwys prefer the normal BB to the celeb one, because they aren't even celebs!!! It only lasts about a week or something anyway!

no it's not but i suppose it would get a bit borning with people we already knew in it for ten weeks. More interesting when its people we dont know and still lots the learn about them

It would be better if they put people that are actually celebs into it! They normally have people like the sister of the girlfriend of that soap star who was killed off in 1976 in it. They make it boring. Otherwise they have pop stars whose careers are failing. They need some real celebs

Big Brother has really run its course!!

I think its about time to finish, its just getting more rediculous every year, the first few years there were a few maddo's in the house but now its just spot the normal person, coz its very hard to find someone in there that is just an average well rounded person. Maybe that the point in the show, but I just think these people are just playing up to the cameras, may as well just stick a bunch of actors in the house and film it!

This year they had only been in there a few hours before they where talking about what they were going to do with their new found 'celebrity status'. I can't see the show lasting much longer, how much further can they take the show?

I think this year they tried to put TOO many contrasting people in. Like gay attraction between Derek/Kemal but then old and upper class in Derek as well and cross dresser diva in Kemal. And in reality there would be no attraction between them really because they would be too different.

All the girls seemed to have to be hot and model-like (except maybe Mary who was different/wacky in her own way!)

what happened to the normal people - well the normal people have realised that they are not going to become rich and famous on the back of this.......

and wouldnt think that Kinga was what you would call model material.....

It does seem that the non beautiful women get voted out first in the other series

I remeber hearing that Bb had signed on to a contract until 2007. 2 more years YAY :D

i read on teletext last week a spokesman for channel 4 said that Big Brother could be around for a lot longer than 2007
