Marking his first major drama-series gig, John Leguizamo is joining the cast of ER this season. Details about his role could not be immediately confirmed, but sources say the actor-comedian will play a new doctor at County General in at least 12 episodes beginning in late October. ER producers have been on the prowl all summer for a big-name actor to fill the void left by Noah Wyle.

You may remember John's big star part as Luigi in the Mario Brothers films and also starred more recently in Collateral Damage, I can't post a pic but i used to love him and his stunning latino looks!

It is said that he will play Beck, a new attending who will first appear in episode 12.05.

I am interested to see how they portray him as they have the loud one in ray - shy retiring in luka, carter was a little bit in between but we dont want a replacement obviously we need something a little different!
