Emmerdale has confirmed that Anthony Fox will be killed off next week.
The evil villain is murdered after news of his crimes spreads around the village, leaving several suspects in the frame.
A recent Emmerdale flashback episode revealed that Anthony sexually abused his daughter Ruby when she was a teenager.
Ruby has kept this to herself for over 30 years, but this week's episodes see her husband Caleb and sister-in-law Chas both find out the truth.
Next week, Chas is alarmed when she learns that Nicola King has left Anthony alone with her teenage daughter Angelica for a tutoring session.
Chas warns Nicola that Anthony is a danger to children, so Nicola rushes home and orders him to leave.
When Nicola reveals the reason for her sudden decision, Anthony turns physically threatening with her.
Nicola's best friend Laurel Thomas ? who had also hired Anthony as a tutor for her son Arthur ? rushes in to intervene and knocks the villain unconscious with a candlestick.
Later, the list of Anthony's potential enemies grows further when Chas reveals a horrifying truth to her brother Cain.
Chas's son Aaron Dingle is also shaken to witness an unguarded interaction between Anthony and Ruby, when Anthony thinks that nobody else is around to witness it.
Caleb pulls up in the village and orders Anthony to get into his car, seemingly with a sinister plan in mind.
The tense storyline comes to a head when a gunshot is fired and Anthony is later found dead.
Ruby, Caleb, Chas, Aaron, Cain, Laurel and Nicola all had reasons to want Anthony gone, but who killed him?
Emmerdale airs these scenes in the week commencing Monday, January 20 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Emmerdale's Dawn Fletcher looks set to uncover Joe Tate's concerning secret next week.
Dawn is baffled when she finds Joe unconscious as his mysterious behaviour finally spills out into the open.
Joe returned to Home Farm at Christmas, pledging his support to Kim Tate despite their acrimonious past.
He has since managed to worm his way back in with the family, but viewers know that he's not being totally upfront as he's secretly struggling behind closed doors. Viewers have seen him repeatedly using painkillers and experiencing agonising symptoms, hinting at an addiction or a secret health issue.
Next week, the Home Farm dynamics change further as Kim suggests that Dawn should quit her job at the vets and start working for her instead.
Dawn agrees, although she regrets it when she finds out that Joe will be her new boss. She accuses him of engineering this scenario following the kiss they recently shared.
As Dawn confronts Joe and accuses him of playing games, their tension turns to passion once again. This time, Dawn and Joe go all the way by sleeping together.
Later, Dawn feels terrible when her husband Billy returns home with their baby son Evan, who has been in hospital for his first outpatient chemotherapy appointment.
As Joe spends time away from the Home Farm estate, he struggles to stay conscious while sitting in his parked car on a remote country road.
Dawn finds Joe slumped at the wheel, with a bottle of pills on the floor. Will she find out exactly what he's been hiding from everyone since returning to the village?
Emmerdale airs these scenes on Tuesday, January 21 and Thursday, January 23 on ITV1 and ITVX.

Not about to let the Kings' daughter come to harm, she tells Nicola that Anthony is an abuser and a paedophile.
In panic, Nicola tears home and as she lays into Anthony, the abuser becomes violent.
Anthony's also seen, by Aaron, getting aggressive with Ruby, and in another scene is ordered to get into his son-in-law Caleb's car?
A picture is building that Anthony is a marked man and will have a queue of haters after him?
At the Woolpack, Cain visits his sister, worried that his one-night stand with Ruby has become common knowledge. Urged to open up, Chas talks but what's she got to say?

But other events befell Anthony that fateful day when his horrible history caught up with him and now the man is missing...

Nicola and Laurel certainly aren't in the know.
Having struck abuser Anthony with a candlestick when she found him attacking Nicola, Laurel's petrified about what's become of the perverted pensioner.
Barely coping with the stress of the situation she's found herself in, Laurel visits the church, hoping for some divine inspiration.
Nicola, meanwhile, wants concrete facts to go on.

At Mill, the atmosphere is thick with tension and there's no getting round it.
With Anthony Fox having been found dead, are the Miligan parents in the know? Were they behind his death? Did Caleb kill his father-in-law for abusing Ruby throughout her childhood?
Steph has no idea about any of it but she's not made of stone and wants to know what's going on. And more importantly, she wants to know where her beloved granddad has got to?
Is Steph about to find out that Anthony was the worst kind of man and that he's been murdered as a result?
As Laurel continues to live in fear of her violent brush with Anthony, his tooth remains undetected on the floor at Caleb's depot?
Who's failed on the killer clearup?

I think so too. If Steph learns that Anthony could be her father or that he is, I could see her hurting him in anger and then going through a soapy arc about her guilt.
is the tooth from anthony but he is shot, body discovered?

Emmerdale has offered a first look at Anthony Fox's mysterious death in a special flashforward.
The evil character is killed off in suspicious circumstances this week, as Nicholas Day's guest stint in the role comes to an end.
Monday's episode offered viewers a first glimpse at Anthony's grisly fate, starting and ending with flashforward scenes.
The opening scene ominously showed drops of blood on the floor, while more detail was later revealed at the end of the episode as the camera panned to Anthony's dead body lying nearby.
Manipulative Anthony has tried to charm the villagers since moving to Emmerdale late last year, but the truth about his crimes is now starting to spread.
A recent Emmerdale flashback episode revealed that Anthony sexually abused his daughter Ruby when she was a teenager. He has since been revealed as the biological father of her daughter Steph.
Last week, Ruby's husband Caleb and sister-in-law Chas both learned the truth.
Caleb was seen receiving delivery of a gun as he considered taking the law into his own hands over Anthony.
Chas, meanwhile, was haunted by reminders of her son Aaron's traumatic past with his own father Gordon.
This week's episodes see a gunshot ring out as Anthony's crimes catch up with him and he's later found dead by someone.
As well as Ruby, Caleb and Chas, Emmerdale chiefs have named Aaron, Cain, Nicola and Laurel as key suspects in the mystery.
Asked recently whether Ruby could be the culprit, Beth Cordingly ? who plays the character ? said: "Ruby did attack Ethan before when she felt he had done her son wrong. She effectively left him for dead. She felt remorse afterwards, though, and a lot of guilt."
Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, also said of his character's motive: "Having experienced the same abuse and disgusting acts and never really got the justice he deserved or that Gordon deserved ? the motive is there in plain sight."

I would love this to be an Orient Express-type situation, whereas everyone in the town did something that could lead to his death, so that no single person gets arrested and the police say that everyone has suffered enough.
Besides, if he were arrested, I can't imagine a pedophile lasting very long within. He would deserve it, but the spoilers above already tell us that he won't live long enough for that to happen.

If she goes to prison for it, I would not miss her as I cannot warm to her

The following article contains discussion of sexual misconduct.
Emmerdale villain Anthony Fox has slyly exposed the truth over Ruby and Cain's secret.
The evil character shared his knowledge with Ruby's husband Caleb in Tuesday's episode, leading to a shocking cliffhanger.
Ruby and Cain have been keeping quiet about sleeping together at the garage late last year.
The pair were unexpectedly brought together as Ruby struggled with Anthony's presence in the village and Cain feared losing his wife Moira, who'd gone in for surgery to remove a brain tumour.
Tuesday's episode saw Caleb entrap Anthony by luring him to an abandoned barn.
Caleb was out for revenge after discovering that Anthony sexually abused Ruby when she was a teenager. The show has revealed that Anthony is the biological father of Ruby's daughter Steph.
In tense scenes, Caleb held Anthony at gunpoint and threatened to kill him unless he confessed to his disturbing crimes.
Once Anthony finally did so, Caleb revealed that the weapon hadn't been loaded with any bullets. However, after hearing Anthony's dismissive attitude towards Ruby's trauma, Caleb abandoned his bluff and vowed to get rid of him for real.
He said: "I didn't think that I could kill anyone, but after hearing you admit to what you'd done like it was nothing, things have changed."
Anthony replied: "All this time you've been chasing shadows, you've failed to see what's under your own nose. Here you are, defending Ruby's honour or whatever, and behind your back she's been sleeping with your brother."
With Caleb visibly rattled by the revelation, Anthony made a grab for the gun and the two men ended up in a dramatic tussle.
Outside, Cain arrived at the scene and heard the noise of a gunshot. With Anthony confirmed to be leaving the soap this week, was this his death scene or are there more twists to come?

Emmerdale has hinted that Aaron Dingle could be responsible for Anthony Fox's death this week.
The soap's latest episode shifted focus to Aaron as the build-up to Anthony's dramatic exit continued.
Show bosses recently announced that Anthony will be found dead this week after making enemies around the village.
Tuesday's episode had hinted that Caleb Miligan could be the culprit, as he held Anthony at gunpoint in an empty barn and ordered him to confess to his evil crimes.
The two men ended up in a tussle for the weapon and Cain Dingle arrived outside just in time to hear a shot being fired.
The ominous cliffhanger was resolved today with the surprising revelation that neither party was injured in the incident. Anthony seized the opportunity to flee from Caleb's clutches, still very much alive for now.
Back in the village, Aaron questioned Ruby Fox-Miligan after recently spotting her in a tense moment with her father Anthony.
Aaron correctly guessed that Ruby was scared of Anthony and wanted to know more, but she refused to share any details with him.
Still curious about what was going on, Aaron tracked down Anthony at the depot. Misjudging Aaron's intentions, Anthony asked for help as he didn't have a working phone and was struggling with a head injury after an earlier incident with Laurel Thomas.
Turning threatening in response, Aaron replied: "I think it's about time me and you had a little chat."
Last month, an Emmerdale flashback episode revealed that Anthony sexually abused Ruby when she was a teenager. He has since been revealed as the biological father of Ruby's daughter Steph.
Aaron's suspicions are partly influenced by his own traumatic past, as he was abused by his father Gordon when he was a child.
Danny Miller, who plays Aaron, recently said: "[Aaron] is instantly aggressive and destined for revenge ? for Ruby of course, but he sees his chance to level with Gordon who took 'the coward's way out' as Aaron calls it ? killing himself in prison.
"He sees an opportunity to hand over Gordon, in Anthony, to the police ? who will then serve his sentence in prison and give Ruby the justice she a) deserves and b) Aaron never had the chance of having himself.
"I think it's pure disgust and dread as to how he'll deal with this and bringing back so many evil and dark memories for Aaron that he'd suppressed for so many years."
