Neighbours has released a second batch of new spoilers and pictures for episodes airing this month.

The long-running soap is currently on a two-week break during the Christmas and New Year period, but it'll return to our screens on Monday, January 6.

Show bosses previously released episodic images and short teaser billings for the first two weeks of episodes this year, but we've now been given a second batch covering episodes airing between Monday, January 20 and Thursday, January 30.

While we can't give away full details until nearer the time, the images offer our first look at the Erinsborough Lights Up event as Yaz Shields' ongoing storyline comes to a head.

We can also see a first glimpse at new character Taye (Remi's brother), and emotional times for Aaron Brennan and Paul Robinson on the first anniversary of David Tanaka's death.

Neighbours airs a major turning point in Yaz Shields' dark revenge storyline next week.

The scheming character reaches a worrying realisation about her late brother Heath Royce, just as her time in Erinsborough nears its end.

Yaz has been plotting to avenge Heath's death by causing trouble for Holly Hoyland ? wrongly blaming her for last year's tragedy in the Outback.

Upcoming scenes see Yaz turn dangerous as she gives Holly a faulty transformer to use as part of the Erinsborough light show.

Yaz asks Holly to use the transformer to switch on the 10pm showstopper at the event ? well aware that the dodgy equipment could kill her.

Just as Yaz waits for carnage to unfold, local podcaster Blaze asks her to listen to the latest episode of Crimesborough.

Blaze has delved into the Outback drama once again and has now secured some revealing testimonies from Mackenzie Hargreaves, Haz Devkar, Toadie Rebecchi and Melanie Pearson.

As Yaz finally hears the full truth for the first time, she realises that she has badly misjudged the situation and Heath was the true villain in the Outback case.

Yaz rushes off to save Holly but is too late to make it back to the Lights Up show in time for 10pm.

Her ruthless revenge hurts an innocent third party, as Max Ramsay steps in to take Holly's place at the last minute and is hit with a nasty electric shock.

Max suffers severe burns to his hands and is left unconscious, much to everyone's horror.

Yaz flees from the scene rather than facing the consequences, but her on-off girlfriend Nicolette Stone follows her to the airport to find out what's going on.

Nicolette can't believe what she's hearing as Yaz confesses everything, but she ultimately takes pity on Yaz and encourages her to leave on the plane before the police arrive.

Will Yaz take Nicolette's drastic advice or stick around to face certain arrest?

Yaz's revenge plot goes badly wrong

When Yaz's emotions get the better of her, she makes a choice that could destroy the rest of her life - and end another. This week in Neighbours, Yaz is preparing to get out of town quickly after giving Holly damaged lighting equipment - declared a "death trap" - to use at the Erinsborough Lights Up festival.

Yaz wants Holly to pay for her involvement in her brother Heath's death in the outback last year, but she doesn't have the full story. When she's encouraged to listen to the latest Crimesborough podcast about death, reality dawns.

"Yaz comes to the realisation that she's been blinded by her love for her brother," Chrishell, 43, tells TV Week. "She's misread the situation and how Heath met his death."

Yaz comes to the start conclusion she was wrong about Holly all along - and now, the young woman she pretended to befriend is in grave danger. "Yaz is mortified she got it so wrong," Chrishell says. "It sinks in that, blinded by her desire for retribution, she's become a person who could take another's life in revenge.

As Yaz rushes back to the event before anyone is hurt, she learns that Max - who has substituted for Holly while she troubleshoots another issue at the event - has burnt his hands severely and is unconscious.

Will Yaz flee town or own up to her wrongdoing? And will Max survive this terrible incident? "

Neighbours' Holly Hoyland is left horrified next week as she realises that Yaz Shields wanted to kill her.

Holly's self-confidence takes a major knock when she finds out that yet another villain has been plotting against her.

Upcoming episodes see Yaz's scheming come to a head as she tries to avenge the death of her brother Heath Royce.

Still blaming Holly for the tragedy in the Outback, Yaz slyly hands her some faulty equipment and asks her to use it for the Erinsborough light show's 10pm showstopper.

Yaz knows that the damaged transformer could kill Holly with a huge electric shock, but she'll now stop at nothing when it comes to her revenge.

Later, Yaz listens to the latest episode of the local Crimesborough podcast and hears first-hand testimonies from Mackenzie Hargreaves, Haz Devkar, Toadie Rebecchi and Melanie Pearson for the first time.

The witness interviews help Yaz to realise that Heath was the true villain in the Outback rather than Holly.

She rushes back to the Lights Up show but isn't in time to save Max Ramsay, who has stepped in to switch on the 10pm showstopper at the last minute.

Max suffers nasty burns to his hands and is knocked unconscious, while guilty Yaz flees from the scene and heads to the airport.

Before long, some of Yaz's personal photos are put on display as part of the Lost Loves element of the light show. Holly and the other residents finally make the connection between Yaz and Heath, realising that she's been deceiving them from day one.

Holly investigates further and finds out that Yaz went to Tess Carmichael to gather evidence against her.

She also realises that Yaz used hidden audio equipment to haunt her with Heath's voice at the Kennedy house, as well as setting up the evil stunt with the faulty transformer.

Holly struggles to deal with the upsetting revelation that another person has come into her life and set out to hurt her. It follows her previous ordeals with Heath, Eden Shaw and Dr Bowman.

After recovering from the nasty electric shock, Max assures Holly that she doesn't deserve such animosity but will his words of comfort be enough?

Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, January 21.

Neighbours barman Aaron Brennan is set to make a heartbreaking decision in upcoming scenes.

Aaron recently struck up a romance with Rhett Norman, looking to move on to the next chapter of his life following the tragic death of his husband David Tanaka last year.

In scenes set to air next Thursday (January 23), the anniversary of David's death is approaching and Aaron is left feeling down amid discussions over how to mark the occasion.

While he hides his grief from Rhett, Aaron tells Jane that he's not sure if he's ready to move on from David just yet.

Jane is concerned for Aaron and advises him to think carefully before making a decision.

However, when Aaron meets Rhett, he tells him that he's not ready to enter another relationship at the moment. Is this really the end of Aaron and Rhett's romance?

Elsewhere on the soap, it was recently confirmed that Jane's new romance storyline will begin next week.

After some encouragement from her loved ones, Jane realised that she should find a way to meet some entirely new people rather than trying to reconnect with old flames.

Next week, Jane starts using a dating app and meets newcomer Clint, who she later arranges to meet up with.

Jane is shocked to discover that Clint is considerably younger than her, but will he encourage her to give their connection a chance regardless?
