EastEnders actor Mohammed George has revealed he is raising his child alone after splitting with his girlfriend.

George, who plays Gus Smith in the BBC soap, has become the sole carer for five-month-old Olivier after a huge bust-up with her mother Emma Archibald.

George claims the rows began when Archibald did not even tell him she was pregnant. She claims she did not know she was expecting and gave birth after being admitted to hospital with a stomach ache.

He told femalefirst.com: "The baby's fine but things are bad between her mother and I. The rows were terrible and it wasn't the right environment to bring up a baby. So I'm looking after Olivia in my flat. It's a huge challenge, but I adore her.

"I can't get my head round the fact she says she didn't know she was pregnant. I didn't even know Olivia was born until two days after the birth."

Aww bless him. I like his character and I think he is probably that nice in real life. be hard work, having a baby and being in Eastenders, but then again the other cast members with babys can help him out, like Little Mo and Kat.

good on him... you can't say a lot of people would want to look after a child being a single parent, spech if it's the father, though this proves that men will take responiablity...
