Emmerdale is set to welcome two new characters to the Village - Ruby?s dad, Anthony, and daughter, Steph, whose arrival will have far-reaching repercussions for the Miligan family.

Smart, confident and completely reckless, Steph, played by Georgia Jay (Giri/Haji), hasn?t seen either of her parents in over a decade. It?s clear that Steph got all the best and worst parts of her parents, including their narcissistic need to win at all costs.

Charismatic Anthony, played by Nicholas Day (Minder, The Crown) has mellowed in his old age and he seems like delightful company to the outside world, but Ruby (Beth Cordingly) hasn?t seen her father in over thirty years. Following her mum?s death, Ruby is forced to complete the unwelcome family reunion.

Emmerdale is set to air heartbreaking new Steph Miligan scenes following the recent Anthony Fox revelations.

Earlier this month, Steph uncovered the disturbing truth that her grandfather Anthony was actually her biological father due to his sexual abuse of daughter Ruby when she was a teenager.

Steph learned this from Ruby, who killed Anthony back in January after being triggered by the abuse she suffered.

In new scenes, Steph opens up to her mother in the wake of the revelations, sharing that she can only see her own reflection as Anthony.

Ruby tries her best to give Steph some closure, but is unaware that Steph is searching online for plastic surgery in order to rid herself of him.

The following day, Caleb and Ruby try to plan a family day out. When he fails to come back from the depot after a purported quick errand, Ruby and Steph begin to form an honest bond for the first time.

Will this change Steph's mindset, including her decision to get surgery?

Speaking previously about Steph's loyalty to Ruby and Caleb, actor Georgia Jay said that Steph "would definitely not throw her parents under the bus" and doesn't "think she'd want anyone going down for it".

"In terms of whether she'd be able to cope, it's a hard one because in those circumstances you're not going to rock the boat anymore," she added.

"You're dealing with something on such a large scale, so sending people down for murder or trying to focus on that avenue wouldn't really help you that much.

"It's a hard one because I don't think anyone would cope massively well. But I definitely think Steph would stay true to her family."
