Neighbours is gearing up to welcome a new character played by Kate Connick amid the recent cast exits.

Connick is the latest star joining the Aussie soap, with her newcomer Fallon Morell set to wreak havoc on Erinsborough.

"Another new arrival on Ramsay Street! U.S star, Kate Connick will soon join the cast in the guest role of Fallon Morell," the soap wrote on Instagram, captioning shots of Connick on Ramsay Street.

"Fallon's time in Erinsborough spells trouble for many an Erinsborough resident... particularly her sister," the caption continued.

Many Neighbours stars have cheered on Connick's arrival, including Krista Sinclair actor Majella Davis, who wrote: "Truly blessed to have you with us @skateconnick. Get ready world."

Leo Tanaka star Tim Kano commented: "Yyeeeeyaaahhh Fall," while Emerald Chan declared: "The queen has arrived," and Lucinda Armstrong Hall noted: "Here she is."

Sara West and Georgie Stone also shared congratulatory messages for Connick.

The US actor is the latest casting announcement on the soap. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Rarmian Newton will appear as Sebastian 'Seb' Metcalfe, who has a complicated history with Krista.

Longtime Neighbours fans will also be treated to the return of original character Shane Ramsay, who will arrive in Erinsborough alongside Max, who is Shane's son.

These new Ramsay Street faces will join the soap following the exits of characters Toadie, Nell and Hugo Rebecchi, as well as the departures of Mackenzie Hargreaves and Haz Devkar.

While Connick might have become well-acquainted with many aspects of Australian culture, she had never seen a single episode of Neighbours before landing her role as Fallon Morrell.

Now a fan of the show, Connick is looking forward to introducing her American friends and family to the Aussie soap.

?My family is going to be doing viewing parties,? she says of making her Neighbours debut in the new year.

Having returned home to New Orleans following Idol, Connick Jr ? who will return to our screens next year in the local version of reality series The Piano ? regularly visits his daughters with his wife Jill Goodacre and will be in Australia for Christmas.

Connick says that while she?s hosting at her new apartment, she plans to leave the holiday season catering to her parents, who are ?great cooks?.

Coming from a close-knit clan, Connick has always looked to her parents for inspiration and support in her career.

She sang with her dad on his 2008 rendition of ?Winter Wonderland? and ?on a few TV shows?.

And, like Goodacre (a well-known Victoria?s Secret Angel in the 1980s), Connick has had her own success as a model, fronting campaigns for Reebok and Bobbi Brown.

?I really look up to both my parents, and I?ve always wanted to be like them in different ways,? she tells Stellar.

?They wanted me to do my own thing, and were always accepting of whatever it was that I was interested in.?

Neighbours' Krista Sinclair is oblivious to a new schemer in her life next week.

Show bosses are lining up more trouble for Krista as her half-sister Fallon Morell settles into Erinsborough.

US star Kate Connick has been cast in the role of Fallon, who made her first appearance in Monday's episode (February 3).

Fallon's arrival came just as Krista sent her manipulative friend Sebastian Metcalfe back to Sydney.

Before Sebastian left, he came clean to Fallon about how he abandoned their relationship a few years back because he'd fallen for Krista. A suspicious Fallon was left wondering what role Krista had played in her heartbreak.

Next week, Krista enjoys having Sebastian out of the picture at last ? which frees her up to focus on planning her wedding to Leo Tanaka.

Krista also takes the opportunity to get close to Fallon while she's in town. Sadly, Fallon isn't approaching the situation with the same genuine intentions as she's distracted by thoughts that Krista may have ruined her happiness with Sebastian.

As Fallon's bank balance gets dangerously low, she starts to worry that she won't be able to stay in town for much longer. She suddenly has a brainwave, offering to be Krista and Leo's paid wedding planner.

Fallon talks up her credentials, explaining that she planned several weddings when she was in Mykonos.

When Leo and Krista agree to hire her, Fallon is pleased that she'll be able to pay her way and she wastes no time before securing a venue for the happy couple.

Later, though, Fallon's eerie intentions become clear once again as she gazes at a white dress in her own wardrobe.

It's clear that Fallon still isn't being entirely upfront over her agenda where Krista is concerned ? could this all end in tears?

Next week, the story takes a twist as Dex Varga-Murphy flags up a potential breakthrough in the case.

While working on a school assignment, Dex finds video footage showing that Fallon fought with Sebastian on the night of his death.

The damning discovery leads to Fallon being interviewed by police for the second time.

Fallon desperately tries to defend herself, but she loses all hope when her sister Krista Sinclair also starts to openly doubt her.

As Fallon reaches breaking point, she confesses to the crime in a formal interview at the police station.

The news is a huge relief to Leo and his loved ones, but Fallon's loyal friend Taye Obasi isn't sure whether her confession is genuine.

Taye teams up with his sister-in-law Cara Varga-Murphy to prove Fallon's innocence. They quickly find evidence showing that Fallon was inside the hotel when Sebastian died, meaning that she couldn't have been the culprit.

In a final police interview, Fallon confirms that she made a false confession because she'd lost the will to fight for her future.

Neighbours fans haven't heard the last of Fallon Morell ? and it's bad news for her friend Taye Obasi.

While Kate Connick's guest stint as Fallon came to an end earlier this month, she'll be causing problems from afar as she gets in touch over text with a firm warning for Taye.

Taye is stressed as he starts receiving messages from Fallon, who makes it clear that she wants to be repaid for the $10,000 he borrowed from her.

The timing couldn't be worse for Taye, who's already under pressure trying to make his new living arrangements work.

"Taye resorted to blackmailing Fallon when he made a mistake booking an expensive entertainer for the Piano Bar," our Neighbours insider reminds us.

The cheeky newcomer's current job doesn't pay enough for him to pay off his debts, so he may need some interesting tactics to make this work.

It's not all bad news for the younger crowd on Ramsay Street, as Taye joins forces with Max Ramsay and Holly Hoyland to make Sadie Rodwell feel better about her burn scars.

Sadie's self-confidence takes a knock after Taye, Max and Holly burst in while her boyfriend Byron Stone is helping to change her dressings.

As Sadie retreats into herself, Holly teams up with Taye and Max to each share a deep-seated insecurity they have about themselves.

The tactic works wonders on Sadie as she thanks her friends for their unwavering loyalty since the garage fire.
