Also, as mentioned previously, it is believed Xander (Luke Van Os) and Rose (Kirsty Marillier) will be leaving in 2025 (March/April?). It seems Rose may be getting a promotion to detective, prompting her moving to the city.

Patrick O?Connor has mentioned that the River Boys are set to return as part of Dean and Ziggy?s new storyline, but there are no details as yet.

Fresh after a break from work and with a diagnosis for her problem, Bree returns to Summer Bay ready for a new start in Home And Away.

But when the doctor runs into Roo, she soon learns not everyone is happy to see her back.

When Bree (Juliet Godwin) froze during an emergency at work, Roo (Georgie Parker) angrily tells her that it nearly cost her dad Alf (Ray Meagher) his life. She's not sure that's something she can forgive.

"Bree is devastated after her run-in with Roo, but understands why she's angry," Juliet, 30, tells TV WEEK. "She knows she dropped the ball with Alf's treatment."

And Roo isn't the only one to tell Bree so. Others are turning their back on the once-popular doctor and, even with the help of her partner Remi (Adam Rowland), she realises it?ll take time to convince those in the Bay she deserves a second chance.

"At first, Bree is overwhelmed by everyone's emotions," Juliet says. "However, she's determined to follow the guidance of her counsellor and focus on healing and trying to make amends as best she can."

Juliet adds that although it will be tough, her character is determined to show she's changed.

"Bree owns the fact that she made a mistake," she says.

Sure, Home and Away hasn't even wrapped for 2024, but that doesn't mean we can't speculate about what drama is set to hit the Bay in 2025 and one Facebook fan group for the popular soap is spilling some piping hot tea. So if you hate spoilers, don't keep reading. You've been warned!

Earlier this month it was announced fan faves Sophie Dillman and Patrick O'Connor were reprising their roles as Ziggy and Dean for a "top-secret" storyline that's currently being filmed in Far North Queensland, with Patrick giving an interview that hints towards some River Boys Drama.

Speaking with The Daily Telegraph's Confidential, Patrick divulged a little more about what fans can expect from the couple's return. "There's a bit of River Boy action, there's a bit of road trips with them," Patrick said. "I think it'll be good to see where Dean is now, where they're at now with their babies living away in Queensland, is all I'll say."

Home and Away 2025 spoilers: New characters announced
In a Facebook fan group, an admin has given a sneak peek into the new River Boys set to hit the Bay, as well as a couple of new characters including a new doctor.

Though they only appear to be guest appearances (and one would predict, tied into Ziggy and Dean's storyline) Rob Mellyonarie and Adam Peck are set to make waves as a couple of more tattooed bad boys.
...
But honestly... can we also have Rory back?

Dr Liz Shaw, played by Mandy Bishop.

You may recognise Amanda Bishop for her comedy portrayals of Julia Gillard and she's also appeared in Law and Order: SVU. So how will the crime of Summer Bay impact her character? Well she's said to be the new doctor in town, and we can't wait to see a showdown with Bree tbh.

Mysterious new gal in town

You may have seen Ellie Gall before in shows like Puberty Blues and Take My Hand, and now she's said to be hitting the Bay as Nerida Mullins.

So far, it's unknown if she'll be part of the permanent cast or just a guest.
