Coronation Street has scheduled in a rare Sunday episode later this month.
The long-running soap will air on the weekend ? just as a one-off ? as the show makes up for an episode lost due to TV schedule changes.
Next week, Coronation Street will screen as usual on Monday, October 21 and Wednesday, October 23 at 8pm on ITV1.
There will be no episode on Friday, October 25, because ITV1 will be airing a live England game as the Lionesses take on Germany in a friendly at Wembley. This also means there will be no Emmerdale episode that night.
Fortunately, it's not all bad news for soap fans as Coronation Street will air for an hour from 8pm on Sunday, October 27 to make up for the disruption.
After that, Coronation Street's schedule will return to normal with regular 8pm editions on Monday, October 28, Wednesday, October 30 and Friday, November 1.
On Thursday, October 31, Emmerdale will air at the earlier time of 7pm on ITV1 as there's a 'Budget Special' episode of The Martin Lewis Money Show at 8pm.
Of course, Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans now have more flexibility over when and how to watch the latest drama from the cobbles and the village.
From this week, both soaps release the latest episodes at 7am on ITVX on the day of transmission ahead of their ITV1 broadcast that evening.
Coronation Street and Emmerdale's executive producer Iain MacLeod recently commented: "This is great news for soap fans! Having the ability to catch your favourite show at a time that suits you fits perfectly with people's busy days and flexible lives.
"And who doesn't love the idea of watching the latest Dingle drama in the Dales or calamity on the cobbles on the tram to work, or over a brew after dropping the kids at school?"

Coronation Street will revisit a tragic death storyline as Leanne Battersby goes through with her decision to move out.
In scenes set to air next Monday and Wednesday (October 21 and 23), Leanne and Nick Tilsley divide up their belongings. Leanne thinks she's doing the right thing and her departure will allow Nick and Sam Blakeman to rebuild their father/son relationship after the young lad's recent injury.
Sam, however, is upset that Leanne is leaving and struggles to hide it.
As she's about to leave the flat, Leanne gets emotional remembering her late son Oliver who lived there with them.
Nick later apologises to Leanne for his affair with her sister Toyah and for how their relationship ended.
It looks like things are over between them for good, but is there any chance of them ever getting back together?
Meanwhile, as Toyah plans to move into a new place, Nick offers to take her and her stuff there. After recently admitting their love for each other, Nick is keen to pursue things romantically with Toyah, but she turned him down as she doesn't want to hurt Leanne more. Will she change her mind, or will a relationship with Nick remain a no-go?
Meanwhile, this week's episodes see Nick learn that evil cult leader Rowan Cunliffe is pleading not guilty to all of the charges he's facing, meaning his fraud and blackmail case will go to trial.
The worry is whether Rowan will face the full consequences for his actions, or get away relatively lightly.
https://www.digitalspy.com/soaps/coronation-street/a62679620/coronation-street-spoilers-aftermath-damon-money-theft/
Coronation Street is set to air the aftermath of Damon Hay?s money theft.
In yesterday?s (October 21) episode, the truth over who stole Damon?s missing money was finally revealed to audiences, with it being confirmed that David Platt was behind the theft.
In new scenes set to air next week ? including during this Sunday?s (October 27) extra episode ? the Platts gather round after Gail is rushed to hospital following a family argument, as she displays concerning symptoms.
David feels that he is responsible, and when questioned by Jesse about his guilt, David snaps.
Are Jesse?s suspicions around David confirmed?
Meanwhile, David gets into a panic when Shona tells him that Jesse has returned to No 8 alone, while Damon calls Sarah and tells her they?re in the clear after shifting blame of the theft on to one of Harvey?s associates.
Yet Sarah?s relief turns to sadness when he tells her that they must cut all contact, before hanging up.
Sarah tells Jesse that Damon has got her off the hook with Harvey, and tells him she?s sorry for her suspicions over him.
Later on in the week, Jesse announces something to the Platts that will leave them stunned.
What will he reveal?
Coronation Street?s schedule change this weekend comes as Friday?s regular slot is replaced by the England friendly between the Lionesses and Germany.
The soap will move instead to Sunday at 8pm, before returning to its normal schedule next week from Monday, October 28.
