Titus star Cynthia Watros is the latest actor to be cast as a season regular for the second season of Lost.
Watros will play Libby, a jovial character who worked as a therapist before landing on the island.
"What's really cool about her character is that she's going to bring a flavour to the show that doesn't exist right now," Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof told Variety. "She's not as intense as some of the other characters. She's that person you want in the trenches with you who can take lemons and make lemonade."
Libby is one of a whole host of tail section passengers discovered living on a different part of the island.
She joins Ana-Lucia Cortez, played by Michelle Rodriguez, and the mysterious Emeka(Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). More casting announcements are expected in the weeks ahead.
Meanwhile, the mystery of what is down the hatch will be explained early on in the season, which premieres September 21 in the US.
"What's in the hatch is so intense/cool/complicated that it actually takes three full episodes to fully understand it," added Lindelof. "Fortunately, these are the first three episodes of the show, so the wait is over!"
