Emmerdale's Samson Dingle turns to an unlikely ally for support next week as he prepares for his likely prison sentence.
The troubled teenager relies on advice from his uncle Cain amid fears that he won't cope behind bars.
Samson recently confessed that he'd lied about the circumstances surrounding his recent stabbing at The Hide, which led to Matty Barton finally being freed from jail.
He came clean about trying to rob the bar and restaurant, although he protected ringleader Josh Cope by leaving his name out of it.
As the fallout continues next week, Samson prepares for his plea hearing and he informs his family that he intends to plead guilty.
Samson adds that he knows he's going to prison and he's fine with this, but his dad Sam and step-mum Lydia fear that he doesn't fully understand the harsh reality of what to expect.
Sam asks Aaron to give Samson a pep talk about life in prison, which is overheard by Cain.
Cain then steps in with his own unique tactics to deal with the situation. Sam is stunned to find Cain battering and goading Samson, but Cain explains that it's some 'tough-love' training for prison.
Unimpressed by Samson's self-defence skills, Cain warns that he won't be a match for his fellow inmates unless he makes an improvement.
Shortly afterwards, Moira approaches and spots Cain larking about with Samson. She's upset that he has forgiven Samson so quickly for the ordeal that he put Matty through.
Moira storms over, reminding Cain that Samson is the thug who put Matty in prison. When she then grabs Samson's face violently, the Dingles sense that she's about to go too far again. Can the fractured family ever move past this?
Emmerdale will air these scenes on Thursday, August 1.

Monday
Emmerdale's Kim Tate is determined to get to the bottom of her family's woes
Rose and Ruby Fox-Miligan's secret plan to ruin Kim's life took a dangerous turn when Rose tried to spike her ex Will Taylor's drink in a bid to entrap him. However, she ended up spiking her own daughter Dawn Taylor instead, who crashed her car. But Rose's guilt soon turned into pleasure when Kim was blamed for the ordeal and she succeeded in ostracising her rival from the family.
While Kim is staying at the B&B, Rose has fully established herself in Home Farm and has even set up a bar. Fully indulging in her new situation, Rose treats the kids and reveals that she's bringing the fun to them as they can't go out, but Will is quick to tell her not to outshine Billy Fletcher and Dawn's efforts.
Meanwhile, Kim has driven to the outskirts to meet the dealer who supplied Ruby Miligan the tranquiliser to drug Will with. Kim is determined to find out who he sold the drugs to and find out who is trying to ruin her family. The dealer refuses to give her details, but she knows it's not Rose who is behind the destruction.
Elsewhere, pregnant Ella Forster invites Mandy Dingle to join her at the scan and is having a paternity test to see if Liam Cavanagh is the father of her baby. Ella starts having stomach cramps at work and a concerned Vanessa Woodfield insists she get checked out. She heads to the GP surgery and Liam checks her out.
Jai Sharma is angry when Laurel Thomas mentions solicitors on the anniversary of their wedding and his dad's death. While Laurel is at work, Jai starts to make things difficult for his soon-to-be ex-wife.
Tuesday
Emmerdale's Liam Cavanagh makes a startling allegation about Ella Forster's baby
Paddy Kirk attempts to reach out to Liam ahead of Ella's scan after she had stomach pains at work. After having problems with transportation, Liam goes to the scan with Ella despite her initial refusal. But as the sonographer takes the reading, they learn the devastating news that no foetus can be found and Liam lashes out before they can get an explanation.
The doctor accuses Ella of deceiving him and insists that she didn't want him at the scan because there never was a baby in the first place. Back in the village, Paddy comforts Liam who is appalled that Ella pretended there was a baby and believes she's truly unhinged to have stooped to this diabolical low. But is there more to this than meets the eye?
Caleb Miligan looks concerned on the phone as Ruby Miligan looks up at him, also concerned.
Caleb Miligan is horrified when he learns that someone has set fire to his work premises.
Kim Tate is determined to expose who is responsible for trying to wreck her family. After meeting the drug dealer, Kim sets her sights on long-standing enemy Caleb Miligan and whispers to Lydia Dingle in the caf? that she's exacted some revenge.
Soon, the police want to question Caleb about the fire at his work premises and they think it's arson. It seems Kim is eager to play with fire, literally...
Meanwhile, Jai Sharma and Laurel Thomas' fraught relationship is making things difficult working at the Hide. Jai is constantly belittling Laurel and making the situation very awkward for her and the other employees who have to listen to him. The businessman is convinced that Laurel is planning to fleece him in their divorce and Jai's marital problems spread through the village.
Wednesday
Emmerdale's Will Taylor falls into bed with his ex Rose
Having got rid of Kim Tate over a drugging scandal she didn't commit, smug Rose has got everything she's wanted. She's managed to rekindle her relationship with daughter Dawn Taylor, set up shop at Home Farm and it's like the good old times between her and Kim's husband Will.
Rose meets up with her co-conspirator Ruby Fox-Miligan, who warns her that time is up and she needs to sleep with Will to complete the mission. At Home Farm, Will is annoyed after Kim ignored him earlier as she was absorbed in conversation with Caleb Miligan. Rose seizes the opportunity to seduce Will and he soon gives into temptation.
A casual talk with Caleb gets Kim thinking and it's not long before she shows up at Ruby's. Kim spots the expensive brandy Ruby clearly stole from her and tells her they need to have a little chat. Ruby realises that Kim knows all about her and Rose's scheme to destroy her life and stands her ground against the fierce matriarch.
Ruby and Kim get into a fiery showdown as she reveals that she is just waiting for the fireworks when Kim's life implodes and insists her marriage to Will is over, but Kim disagrees. Is everything about to come crashing down for Kim when she finds out about Will's night of passion?
Thursday
Emmerdale's Cain Dingle batters his nephew Samson Dingle
Samson is pleading guilty at his upcoming plea hearing after lying about being stabbed by Matty Barton and getting him set to prison for a crime he didn't commit. The teen's accepted the fact he's going to prison, but his dad Sam Dingle and step-mum Lydia Dingle are worried that he doesn't know what's coming.
Sam asks Aaron Dingle if he could give Samson a pep talk about prison and Cain overhears the conversation. Later on, Sam is horrified to see his half-brother pummelling and goading his son, but he soon realises Cain is preparing him for his time inside. Cain thinks the other inmates will rip him to shreds as Sam implores his uncle to help him fight dirty.
Moira Dingle storms over and is furious to see Cain fooling around with Samson and tears into him for being the thug who put Matty in prison. She pounces at Samson and everyone realises she's going to go too far. Can they stop her before she does something she'll regret?
After their rendezvous the night before, Will Taylor tells Rose that it was a mistake and shouldn't have happened as he's a married man. Rose reveals that she would like it to be something more, but her face drops when she receives a call from Ruby Fox-Miligan.
Soon enough, Kim walks into Home Farm and Rose's life comes crashing down when she declares that she knows everything about Ruby and Rose's plan to ruin her life. Has Rose lost everything once again?
Friday
Kim Tate and Will Taylor face PC Swirling's questioning
It's been chaos at Home Farm after Kim exposed Rose and Ruby Fox-Miligan's vendetta against her in front of the family. But it seems things have taken a sinister turn when PC Swirling arrives asking about Rose's welfare after finding her handbag and Kim and Will try to mask their guilt. What's happened to Rose? Have the couple gone to dangerous lengths to get rid of her for good?
Moira Dingle is understandably still furious with Samson Dingle after he lied about Matty stabbing him and got him banged up. Despite confessing the truth, Moira is in no mood for forgiveness and she's offended that the family are looking after Samson better than her son Matty.
Elsewhere, Caleb Miligan is the main suspect in the arson attack on his own car hire firm. His wife Ruby is wracked with guilty knowing she caused this with her feud with Kim.

Kim drives to meet the dealer from last week. She wants to know who booked him, desperate to find out who is behind all the problems.
The dealer won't give Kim the details, but she knows it's not Rose who is the mastermind.
Meanwhile, Ella is at work when she starts having stomach cramps. Vanessa takes it seriously, advising that she should definitely get checked.

Caleb is shocked when he finds out there has been a fire at his work premises.
Meanwhile, Liam is at the scan with Ella. As the sonographer takes the reading, there is a problem as no foetus can be found. Before an explanation can be offered, Liam accuses Ella of hoodwinking him ? claiming that there never was a baby and that is why she didn't want him at the scan.

Kim turns up at Ruby's and spots the posh brandy that she has clearly nicked from her. She tells Ruby that they need to have a little chat.
Ruby realises Kim knows the truth and attempts to hold her own, explaining how she is just waiting for the fireworks when Kim's life implodes.
Will is smarting after Kim ignored him earlier, as she was too interested in talking to Caleb. Rose spots a man when he's down, so moves in for the kill and Will reciprocates.
Meanwhile, Caleb advises Jai to be canny when it comes to a break-up.
