is dean back?
No. When Mali needed some help to confront the Allen's after what they did to Iluka, he rang Dean who suggested he get new River Boy, Rory & his mate as backup (so his contact with Dean was over the phone). Now the spoilers suggest that Mackenzie is going to be worried about what Dean thinks of her relationship (& living arrangements?) with Levi, & you would think probably also that she pushed Mali into leaving the house. So, Mac or Mali must tell Dean the whole story of what has been going on - but once again, over the phone/offscreen, so Dean won't be making an appearance in person...

Home and Away spoilers: When Dana manages to escape her captors, a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues
Race to survive

Bronte's master plan to scam Summer Bay turns violent in Home And Away this week, when her unhinged co-conspirator Chase?' plot to kidnap Dana and hold her in a shipping container reaches a dramatic climax.
Dana's (Ally Harris) sister Harper (Jessica Redmayne), boyfriend Xander (Luke Van Os) and friend Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) have serious doubts about Bronte's (Stefanie Caccamo) story that Dana has gone away to a health retreat. It's just not like her to up and leave without telling anyone.
And when Dana fails to show up for her beach-patrol duties with John (Shane Withington) the next day, the gang scour the Bay for any sign of her.
Suspecting Bronte has something to do with her disappearance, Xander and John follow her when they spot her driving Irene's (Lynne McGranger) car. But when they reach a remote quarry and watch Bronte drive slowly down a dirt track, they start to hold grave fears.
Could they have Dana down there?
Meanwhile, in the shipping container, a desperate Dana manages to escape Chase's (Joshua Mehmet) clutches. But fleeing is one thing, outrunning him in the bush is another, and she isn?t sure how much further she can go.
"Dana is pretty determined to get out of there - for her own survival, but also, there's no way she's letting Bronte win," Ally tells TV WEEK.
Can Xander and John find Dana before Chase and Bronte do, or will the scammers manage to silence yet another victim in their evil scheme?

Also from TV WEEK:
"Bad Boys Take Over The Bay
Only two weeks ago, River Boy Rory's arrival created a stir - now, thanks to Tane & Harper's youth program, another bad boy is set to make an impact.
Some of the youngsters appear lost causes, but Tane (Ethan Browne) sees potential in one of them: Perri (Cantona Stewart), a mild-mannered soul who Tane bonds with by teaching him self-defence.
However, as promising as Perri appears to be, is the teen hiding something?
Meanwhile, Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) is doing everything he can to keep his sister Felicity away from her new flame Rory (Joshua Orpin) as his ties to the River Boys reach dangerous new levels. "
So suddenly the River Boys are now bad crooks? All they used to be were blokes who hung together acting tough and surfing , they were never cop haters or killers

An update on this. In last night's episode in Aust (Wed 10th), Mac was on the phone to Dean & he says to her that he is coming for a visit. Patrick O'Connor (Dean) & Sophie Dillman (Ziggy) actually live in London these days, but I have now read that they apparently were back in Aust for a bit in March/April, so it may have been possible that Patrick filmed a few scenes while he was here (although it seems no-one spied him filming/on set anywhere). We will see...

Spoiler Alert!
Well, as first thought, Dean won?t be coming back. We saw tonight in Aust that Mac is going up to visit Dean instead - so she can explain to him all about her & Levi etc (she tells Levi that Dean is likely to react the same way that Eden reacted about him & Mac - so she had better go up & tell him face-to- face, without Levi being around).
