EXCLUSIVE: PAULINE ON 'BILL' AS KILLER
Exclusive By Cameron Robertson
PAULINE Quirke is to appear as a Myra Hindley-style child killer in The Bill.

She plays Cathy Wilson - jailed for 20 years for two murders.

The plot charts her release, life with a new identity and public hounding when her real name is revealed.

Birds of a Feather star Pauline, 46, told the TV Times: "It's a meaty story and extremely well written. It's the first script I've been sent in a while that I thought, 'Yeah, I want to do this'.

"I've always loved The Bill and I'm glad that finally, after 2000 episodes, I've been given a role!"

Pauline appears as Cathy, who has always protested her innocence, in five episodes from next month.

look forward to that. Pauline is a very good actress, and has played a murderer before, do you remember murder most horrid, she was excellant in that.

she was also a murderer in murder in mind a she was really good in that too and i loved her in down to earth she could play any storyline with emotion. Everything i've seen her in her charactor has been really convincing. i think she'll be great.
