Toyah Battersby will receive some startling news at the hospital in Coronation Street.
In scenes airing next week on ITV and top streaming service ITX, Toyah has some frightening medical problems in the middle of her battle with The Institute.
Viewers will see Toyah complaining about serious pain in her stomach before Nick later finds her doubled over on the floor and in need of urgent medical care.
Nick ensures that Toyah gets to the hospital, as Leanne Battersby rushes to her sister's bedside. The trio aren't at all prepared when Toyah's doctor delivers some shocking news.
As Toyah tries to come to grips with what she's been told, her doctor returns with another unexpected bombshell.
This medical emergency comes during a very difficult time for Toyah, as she has been locked in a legal battle against The Institute and its leader Rowan Cunliffe.
The cult has been trying to silence Toyah with an expensive legal case, only offering to drop the matter if she signed a non-disclosure agreement and stopped publicly criticising The Institute.
Unfortunately for Toyah, The Institute managed to get a picture of her kissing future brother-in-law Nick and has threatened to use it as blackmail.
Leanne has no idea about her partner Nick and sister Toyah's kiss, nor does she know that The Institute has sent someone out to spy on Toyah.
Will these secrets be revealed?
Earlier in June, cast member Georgia Taylor said she "can't wait" for Leanne to see the truth about the manipulative Rowan and his cult.
"It's going to be so good to play," she added."But I have to say, I'm loving working with Emrhys [Cooper, who plays Rowan].
"We've had quite a few scenes now where they have a big stand off and they're so delicious. Everything he's doing is just so understated but really creepy at the same time, and subversive."

Cassie Plummer persuades Steve to confront Sally and Tim
Steve?s birthday party is not exactly what he was expecting and he is gutted to discover Tim and Sally are at the unveiling of Tommy O?s bust.
A sympathetic Cassie Plummer offers to drive him to the party to confront the pair and a fired-up Steve agrees. Once there they discover a way to get revenge on Tommy once and for all.
What have they got planned? And is their scheme bringing them closer together?
Toyah is horrified when she finds Leanne showing Amy an institute video to help relieve her stress and realises she is considering investing. Can she persuade her to steer clear?
Bernie waits for Kit in the Rovers to discuss how they tell Gemma and Paul they have a brother, unaware he is already over at the flat breaking the news. How will the twins react?
When George approaches Michael hoping that he might be able to talk some sense into Glenda, he reveals that they?re no longer together as he disapproves of her recent behaviour.
Wednesday
The doctor has big news for Toyah Habeeb
Toyah Habeeb complains to Nick that she has terrible stomach pains and he is shocked when he returns home from work to find her in agony on the floor. He takes her to the hospital and as he and Leanne wait at her bedside the doctor has some surprising news.
Yasmeen, Nina and Shona agree that they need to come up with something to lift Roy out of his depression and get him out of the flat.
Bethany shows the company credit card statement from Lazaret to Shona who spots a supermarket transaction and suggests it might have been a ?click and collect? and she should phone them in case there?s some CCTV footage.
A depressed Bernie confides in Dev about the difficulties she is having with Paul and Gemma and trying to get her family together.
On the street, Beth flirts with Kit and is stunned when he reveals that he?s Gemma?s brother and Bernie?s his mum.
Steve enlists Tim?s help to try and cover his tracks after his and Cassie?s antics at the Tommy O bust unveiling. But Debbie soon rumbles the pair, will they be able to talk their way out of this one?
Friday
Sarah Platt tries to hide the truth
Kit warns Sarah Platt that DS Swain has been doing some digging and she?s caught onto the fact that Nathan received some hush money to drop the case. DS Swain drags her in for questioning and asks her directly if she knew who attacked Nathan and if she bought his silence with ?10k. Will Sarah tell DS Swain the truth?
Still in shock after the doctor?s news Toyah is left reeling when he drops another unexpected bombshell. Will her sister be able to help her in her hour of need? And how will Nick react to the news?
Nina makes out to Evelyn that Shona?s called in sick in a bid to get Roy back to work in the caf?. When Nina sets off the smoke alarm, Roy finally emerges from the flat and, putting on his pinny, agrees to get back to work.
When Gemma explains that she and Paul are buying a wreath for Kit?s real Mum, Dev advises her to send her own floral tribute

Coronation Street's Steve McDonald is set to team up with Cassie Plummer next week in order to get some revenge, but will their plan backfire?
Leading up to the scenes, Steve's plan to celebrate his 50th birthday hit a snag when Sally and Tim Webster tell him they can't attend.
He's left thinking they're planning a surprise party for him, but, in reality, they've been invited the launch of local footballer hero (and the man Tracy left him to be with) Tommy Orpington's bust.
In next week's episodes, Steve is gutted to discover what Sally and Tim are up to, and Cassie offers to drive him to the bust unveiling in order to confront them.
Once there, they come up with a way to stick it to Tommy once and for all ? but what that is, is being kept under wraps for now.
What has been revealed is that Steve will enlist Tim to try and help him cover up whatever he and Cassie did at the unveiling. However, it won't take long for Debbie for rumble them. Will they be able to talk their way out of it?
The Tommy storyline served to set up Tracy's exit, while another character hasn't been seen on screen for a while, and won't be seen for a while longer.
Jenny Connor actor Sally Ann Matthews recently revealed that she hasn't been filming for a while and has been taking lots of holidays, but stopped short of revealing if she had left the soap or not.
