Emmerdale's Belle King finds herself in danger next week after her abusive husband Tom locks her in their house again.

Tom's controlling behaviour could lead to terrifying scenes amid a major fire risk in the kitchen at the couple's cottage.

Next week's episodes see Belle struggle after discovering that she's pregnant.

Belle doesn't want anyone to know about her news, so she feigns illness in front of Tom and Mandy in order to protect her secret.

When Belle pays a visit to Wendy Posner at the GP's surgery, she feels apprehensive about her options.

The next day, Belle's half-brother Cain Dingle rebukes Tom for selling her car without consulting him first.

This leaves Tom furious and he returns home to accuse Belle of bad-mouthing him over the car.

Tom sternly questions Belle and threatens to turn violent again. Fearful of Tom harming the baby, Belle blurts out that she's pregnant.

The villain's demeanour immediately changes as he pulls Belle in for a hug. They both cry, but it's clear that Belle's tears aren't ones of joy.

Belle is left questioning everything as Tom promises to be a better husband from now on. As Tom seems sincere, Belle starts to wonder whether they could have a future after all.

Later in the week, Tom locks Belle in their house again, under the guise that he's doing it for her own protection.

Belle leaves some food to cook on the hob, then goes for a nap with Piper the dog.

As Belle rests, she's unaware that a tea towel in the kitchen has started to burn while she sleeps. Will the kitchen be set ablaze?

Emmerdale airs these scenes on Thursday, June 13.

MONDAY

Belle King discovers she's pregnant i

Poor Belle King has been the victim of coercive control and domestic violence at the hands of her husband Tom.

When Tom pressured Belle into starting a family with him, she hid her birth control and secretly kept taking it to prevent the chances of her getting pregnant.

However, when Tom exposed her secret, he violently lashed out and punched her in the stomach.

Although Tom would be over the moon that his wife is expecting a baby, it's a completely different story for Belle when she finds out she's pregnant.

With the terror and abuse she's suffering at home, bringing a baby into the world is the last thing on Belle's mind.

After making the baby discovery, Belle pretends to be ill to hide her pregnancy from Tom and Mandy Dingle.

She later registers to visit the doctor with nurse Wendy Posner's support, feeling worried about her options.

Elsewhere, there's a charged moment between friends Gabby Thomas and Vinny Dingle.



TUESDAY

Tom King lashes out at his pregnant wife Belle

Tom King is offended when his brother-in-law Cain Dingle has a go at him for selling Belle's car without consulting him.

A seething Tom hits the roof and accuses Belle of mouthing off about the car to Cain. The vet interrogates Belle and as he raises his hand to attack her, a terrified Belle lets slip that she's pregnant to stop him from getting violent.

As Tom comes to terms with Belle's announcement, his demeanour completely changes and he lovingly pulls her in for a hug. Tom cries with happiness, but Belle isn't crying tears of joy and she tells him to keep it a secret for now.

On their stroll along River Walk with Piper, Belle doesn't know whether to trust this new version of Tom as he promises to be a better husband.

Manpreet Sharma surprises herself as she confides in Ruby Fox-Miligan about her grieving partner Charles Anderson.

Charles has been struggling to cope ever since his son Ethan died suddenly after collapsing at home.

Given that she's responsible for the hit and run on Ethan, Ruby is consumed with guilt and wants to help.



WEDNESDAY

Vinny Dingle makes his move

Having been given food for thought by her stepmum Laurel some weeks back, unlucky-in-love Gabby Thomas has started to see her good old mate Vinny Dingle in a new light.

Having felt a spark earlier in the week when the friends met for drinks, Vinny leans in for a kiss and this time Gabby doesn't pull away!

Is the start of a new romance in the village?


At Dale Head, Belle's head is in a mess.

Having been forced to tell Tom she's pregnant, she's been love-bombed by her abusive husband who is over the moon about the news.

Though Belle was hoping to hide the pregnancy from Tom so she could work out what she wanted to do, she found herself having to tell him to stop her from hitting him.

With Tom vowing to be a better husband from now on, Belle dares to hope that he means it and that this could be a turning point.

But all too soon Tom goes back on his word.

Belle's mortified when she walks into the cafe only to receive a round of congratulations from Jimmy and co. Tom has clearly broken his promise to keep Mum about the baby.

Trying to control her anger, she confronts Tom who, yet again, tries to get round his wife.

Is Belle's heart in it when Tom persuades her to shout their pregnancy news from the rooftops?

Struggling under the weight of her guilt, Ruby is in church. Feeling responsible for Ethan's death, she's barely holding it together.

Charles is taken aback when he finds the mum, gazing at a photograph of his dead son.

As the vicar gets the church ready for Ethan's funeral, the grieving dad allows her to comfort him.

Later, at home, Ruby is in bits as her son Nicky continues to blank her for mowing down Ethan. Unable to take any more, she vows to turn herself and admit she took revenge on Ethan for what he did to Nicky.



THURSDAY

Belle King is in grave danger

In the early stages of pregnancy, Belle King is exhausted.

At Dale Head - where her controlling husband Tom has locked her in and gone off to work ? she's cooking some food when she lies down on the sofa for a nap.

But in the kitchen, a tea towel has been left too close to the hob and has started to burn?

As the house starts to fill with toxic smoke, will Belle wake and manage to make her escape before a fire takes hold?

At the church, Charles is in bits when he takes in the sight of his son's freshly dug grave as he's preparing to lead Ethan's funeral.

Meanwhile, over at Mill, Ruby has made up her mind to come clean about what she did to the vicar's son.

Arriving at Woodbine, Ruby braces herself to tell Charles she ran down Ethan who later died. But Charles hasn't got time to hear what she's got to say as the coroner's verdict is in?

What caused Ethan's death? Was it Ruby's hit and run ? or something else? Will Ruby confess to her crime regardless?

Later, Charles is in pieces as he leads Ethan's service.

Afterwards, in the Woolpack, the dad sinks drink after drink and rejects Manpreet's attempt to comfort him.

Having kissed Gabby, Vinny's on cloud nine but he's bought back to Earth with an embarrassing clang by clumsy barmaid Gail.

The Dingle is mortified when Gail makes it clear she knows he's still a virgin and offers to give him some advice.

It's too much for Vinny who fears everyone is talking about his sex life, or lack of it, and calls time on his fledgling romance with Gabby.

Are they dunzo?

Meanwhile, Charles reveals a cause of death for Ethan. As Ethan's funeral gets under way at the church, Charles struggles to lead the service.

Elsewhere, Vinny is left riddled with guilt.
