It's never stopped any soap before most actors or actresses don't look like the person theyve swaped with. I also don't thnk Kim is half the actress that Danielle was. Personally I prefered sam when Danielle played her.

I'm not sure about this because even though it was Daniella's to start with I think Kim has made this character her own so to ask us to go back to believing Daniella is Sam is pushing it - at least when Kim took over, the character Sam had been out of it for a while so the memory wasn't so fresh but this seems like it would a straight takeover job and I'm not sure I could buy it. I prefer Kim to Daniella.

i used to like danielle as sam.
if kim does leave i think they should write her out for a bit and bring her back with danielle playing her i do agree that they played different sorts of characters but kim never really had too much interaction with the rest of her screen family - which danielle did so perhaps the fact that the rest of the mitchells would be back would make a big difference and make her fit in again.

i do like kim though and hope that she does well in her career after leaving. she has said that she doesnt want to pursue a musical career which i think is mad she should have won fame academy easily

A source told the Daily Star Sunday: "When Sam went to prison she told her family, including her mum Peggy, that she wanted nothing more to do with them.

"If the baby is Jack’s, it could quite easily mean the end of his relationship with Ronnie. But just because Sam is leaving the Square, it doesn’t necessarily mean that she’ll take the baby with her. She’s not exactly the most maternal of characters."

Her return will apparently coincide with Peggy Mitchell's (Barbara Windsor) exit. The source added: "One rumour doing the rounds is that she’ll leave once the baby is born and Peggy will go with her."

It was confirmed last month that Danniella Westbrook will reappear in Walford with a "big secret".

The Mirror reports that she will make her return at the christening of Heather Trott's (Cheryl Fergison) baby George. In scenes to air this summer, Sam will be seen kissing old friend Minty (Cliff Parisi), leaving Heather devastated.

"Sam certainly creates a stir when she turns up. The question is if she is interested in Minty or is just using him," an insider said.

Upon her return to Albert Square, Sam quickly struck up a relationship with Ricky Butcher, leading to an engagement, before having an affair with Jack Branning.
Now, Sam is rumoured to have had a baby during her time away from Walford, although the identity of the rumoured father is being kept tightly under wraps.

But there is speculation that Jack could be the daddy - leaving his relationship with Ronnie Mitchell in doubt.
Sam Womack, who plays Ronnie, admitted the return of Sam will definitely cause chaos in Albert Square, and may even ruin Ronnie and Jack's wedding plans.
She said: 'To marry Jack and have his kids is what Ronnie's always wanted. But she's a character who seems destined never to be happy.
'She's a tragic heroine. So, yes, the wedding could all go wrong...'

EastEnders has revealed a first look at Sam Mitchell?s dramatic return storyline, with a selection of images being released.

Sam, played by Kim Medcalf, left Albert Square back in April to take up a job at a hotel in Spain, but will make a dramatic return later this month (November 21) as she appears in Walford once again.

Ahead of her return, the BBC has released teaser images of the storyline, with the pictures showing Sam being thrown out of a van, with her brother Phil eventually helping her up.

?In typical Sam Mitchell fashion, she finds herself in a troublesome place and has to ask big brother Phil to help her out of a sticky situation,? he said. ?Lots has happened since she's been away ? obviously she's got a grandchild, Charli.

?But Ricky Jr isn't happy that his mum has been so absent. The great thing about Sam is that she's very much a character that can kind of turn up at the Mitchells at any time, cause mayhem and leave them to sort out her mess every time. There's a lot of fun with Sam.?
