Taping of US soap halted due to mercury

Taping of US soap Guiding Light was temporarily halted on Thursday due to a mercury-contaminated set.

On Thursday morning, a blood pressure-monitoring device being used as a prop was dropped, causing mercury to spill onto the floor of the set. New York City's Department of Environmental Protection had to be called in and ordered a 24-hour evacuation due to the detection of mercury in the air.

Taping resumed on Friday after the DEP cleared the set.

Oh good grief,, Is that show still running ???? My gawd my gramma watched that show when I was a kid and she has been dead since 1978..
