Disks onto PC

Hello, urmmm i just recently got my dvd recorder, and i taped last nights EastEnders and i wanted to put it onto the computer to get caps and clips, but the thing is my computer isn't recognising the disk.It keeps aying no disk.
The Disk is a DVD-RW, somebody help me please?
