Coronation Street revisits a storyline from last September next week as the Mason Radcliffe saga continues.

Dylan Wilson finally spills the beans over Mason's hit and run secret after realising that their friendship is well and truly over.

The latest storyline twist comes after Liam Connor finally shares more details about his bullying ordeal.

Liam previously held back over the extent of what Mason put him through, failing to tell his mum Maria and stepdad Gary about the villain threatening him with a zombie knife.

Next week, Liam finally shares this information with Maria and Gary, who are both horrified and take him down to the police station.

Before long, Craig Tinker and another police officer visit the Grimshaw house. They warn that Dylan has been accused of hiding a knife that was used in a recent assault, although the terrified teen insists that he knows nothing about it.

Mason contacts Dylan, ordering him to retrieve the knife from its hiding place and meet him as soon as possible.

Dylan does as he's told, but Craig then arrives and arrests him after finding the knife in his bag. It dawns on Dylan that Mason set him up.

In the police interview room, Dee-Dee Bailey and Sean Tully both urge Dylan to realise that it's time to stand up to Mason and share everything he knows.

Later in the week, Mason meets Dylan in Victoria Garden and thanks him for taking the rap.

Dylan is disgusted with Mason and makes it clear that he did no such thing. He reveals that he even told the police about Eliza Woodrow's hit and run.

Back in September, Eliza was knocked over by an unknown culprit. The following month, Mason was revealed to be responsible and he intimidated Dylan and Liam into giving him an alibi.

With Mason now under serious pressure, is his influence over Dylan finally over?

Coronation Street airs these scenes on Wednesday, March 6 and Friday, March 8.

Coronation Street star Luca Toolan has confirmed that viewers will see a different side to Mason Radcliffe when he returns to the soap this month.

Mason has been absent from our screens since April after being sent to a Young Offenders centre for threatening Liam Connor with a knife.

The villain's punishment closed a dark chapter for Liam, who'd been cruelly bullied by Mason and Dylan Wilson for several months. However, upcoming episodes will see Mason head back to the cobbles after serving his sentence.

Speaking to Digital Spy on the red carpet at the Radio Times Soap Awards on Saturday (July 13), Luca teased Mason's return storyline for the first time.

Asked whether viewers will see a different Mason, Luca replied: "A little bit. Corrie haven't been unrealistic ? they've not turned him into an angel overnight. They're more highlighting and playing the story of why Mason is the way he is.

"We're witnessing Mason trying to fight against that ? and fight against the instincts that he's had. It's been really interesting to play and it's stretched me as an actor as well.

"You're playing a three-dimensional character, not just a bully. Hopefully it should be interesting."

Luca explained that Stu Carpenter will be one of the characters who'll be interacting with Mason following his return.

He explained: "I don't know how much I can say, but Stu is definitely a character who will feature in the storyline. He's been there, he's done that, he's had his fair share of stuff, so he can maybe see himself in Mason. Maybe that motivates him to help Mason a little bit.

"There's a few scenes with a lot of people. Mason previously was quite cornered off in terms of who he interacted with on the Street. Now I'm working with everyone, so it's nice.

"I always knew that I was coming back. It was a bit boring! It was two or three months of no filming. I was a bit gutted when they said there were no prison scenes.

"It's just so good to be back. I watched Corrie as a kid and it's part of the fabric of Manchester. Just to be a small part of it is an honour, really. Even now, a year later, sometimes I pinch myself when I

Asked whether he's back for good, Luca teased: "I take it day by day! But [I'm back] for the foreseeable."

The Radio Times Soap Awards took place at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on Saturday evening. Charlie Wrenshall, who plays Liam, was among the winners on the night as he took home the prize for Best Young Performer.

Mason Radcliffe will be attacked as he returns to Weatherfield in Coronation Street.

Maria Connor recently received the shocking news that teen bully Mason was being released from a Young Offenders centre after serving time for threatening her son Liam with a knife.

In upcoming scenes, Mason's former friend Dylan Wilson is anxious about seeing him since he helped bring the bully to justice earlier this year.

Elsewhere in Weatherfield, Stu Carpenter is horrified to find a battered and bloodied Mason near the police precinct. Mason admits he's been attacked...

Dylan continues to worry about what Mason's release will mean for him throughout the week until he is finally forced to face an irate Mason one-on-one.

These scenes will be airing on Coronation Street on Monday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 24.

Over the weekend, Mason actor Luca Toolan confirmed to Digital Spy that Mason will have made major changes in his life during his detention.

"Corrie haven't been unrealistic ? they've not turned him into an angel overnight. They're more highlighting and playing the story of why Mason is the way he is," he said.

"We're witnessing Mason trying to fight against that ? and fight against the instincts that he's had. It's been really interesting to play and it's stretched me as an actor as well.

"You're playing a three-dimensional character, not just a bully. Hopefully, it should be interesting."

Coronation Street bosses are lining up a new storyline for Mason Radcliffe this Autumn as the teenager comes out as bisexual.
In upcoming scenes, Mason (Luca Toolsn) comes out as gay after making a move on a shocked Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall), who he previously bullied and threatened with a knife before being sent to a young offenders prison earlier this year.
Liam is stunned when Mason tries to kiss him and it?s not long before his mum Maria (Samia Longchambon) finds out about what?s happened when her troubled son confides in her.
Maria then confronts Mason and orders him to stay away from Liam, but whether he listens this time remains to be seen.
Maria worries that Mason?s actions will trigger Liam?s depression and suicidal thoughts again and she warns Gary (Mikey North) that they need to keep a close eye on him.
Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) also finds out about Mason?s move on Liam and she realises he broke up with her because he?s gay.
Will Betsy then expose Mason?s sexuality to hs mates as revenge over the way he previously treated her?

Coronation Street has announced plans to explore knife crime in a dark new storyline for Mason Radcliffe.

Mason is stabbed during an altercation with his brothers Matty and Logan in early January, leaving the Weatherfield community in shock as he fights for his life.

Upcoming episodes see Mason agree to help DS Lisa Swain gather evidence against his villainous siblings.

Lisa is convinced that Matty and Logan were involved in the death of her late wife Becky ? a fellow police detective who sadly lost her life in the line of duty.

While Dylan Wilson helpfully acts as a lookout, Mason searches Matty and Logan's flat. He finds a WWII helmet which could link them to the scene of the crime, so he hands it over to Lisa.

Aware that there's now a target on his back, Mason makes plans to flee from Weatherfield to escape from his brothers.

Wanting to set things right before he goes, Mason tries to convince Betsy that he had nothing to do with the death of Becky. He also makes a genuine apology to his former schoolmate Liam Connor for cruelly bullying him earlier this year.

Later, Matty and Logan are released after facing police questioning over the helmet. They head straight to find Mason and Dylan, cornering them at the precinct.

Shortly afterwards, Abi Webster is horrified when she finds Mason bleeding from a stab wound in the children's play area.

As an ambulance is called, Dylan explains that Matty and Logan stabbed Mason with a zombie knife.

Abi and Betsy both accompany Mason in the ambulance as he's rushed to hospital. They try to reassure Mason that he's going to be okay, but will he survive?

Speaking about the dark storyline, Coronation Street producer Kate Brooks told Digital Spy and other press: "We start the year with a big knife crime story. It's a really important story to tackle, because the statistics are so alarming.

"We've worked really closely with the Ben Kinsella Foundation to make sure we're telling the story right and that the message is to not carry a knife out of fear, because that escalates everything. We know we're tackling a sensitive storyline and it's going to be very hard-hitting.

"We have Mason at the centre of it and Dylan and Betsy are involved. It has massive ramifications for Abi ? and for Tim and Sally going forward."

Brooks continued: "We just felt like it was a subject that we couldn't ignore. It isn't a subject matter that we tackle lightly. It's an important one to talk about and let young people know that carrying a bladed article is not the way.

"It's a real community story and a shocking story. I love the shock storytelling tactics. I think they work and they keep people guessing. It is definitely a shock!

"We're telling the story in a very interesting way. It's not your usual linear storytelling. It's different and it's bold, but I think it's really impactful how we're telling it."
