27th April
PC Honey Harman’s (Kim Tiddy) groom-to-be, Scott Burnett (Matt Bardock), is festering in a jail cell the day before their wedding day. The evidence against him is that he knew his wife Karen was murdered with a wheel brace, and although Honey can’t recall telling him, she prepares to tell DCI Morell (Tanya Franks) she does. Is Honey about to pervert the course of justice, and lose her job in the process?
Meanwhile, PC Steve Hunter’s (James Lloyd) conscience pricks when he admits to Acting DC Gary Best (Ciaran Griffiths) and PC Yvonne Hemmingway (Michele Austin) that it was he who told Honey about the murder weapon. Despite what Gary and Yvonne think of Scott, can they persuade Steve to do the right thing?
Elsewhere, Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor) wants to quell suspicion about her unexplained absences, so she decides to go on the beat with PC Amber Johanssen (Myfanwy Waring) and PC Dan Casper (Chris Jarvis). Amber thinks Dan is trying to score brownie points with the inspector and tells Dan she wants to be the one to cuff a man suspected of handling stolen goods. She hesitates in making the arrest, and is knocked to the ground. Gina jumps to her aid and is punched hard in the stomach and rushed to St Hugh’s. Will Gina realise the folly of her stoicism?
PC Lance Powell (Ofo Uhiara) pledges to dig until he finds the dirt on gangster Adi Mateen (TJ Ramani). But is Adi all he seems?
And Sergeant Dale ‘Smithy’ Smith (Alex Walkinshaw) reprimands Margaret Barnes (Annabelle Apsion) and PC Roger Valentine (John Bowler) for gossiping about DS Ramani De Costa’s (Thusitha Jayasundera) state of mind…
28th April
It’s the day of PC Honey Harman’s (Kim Tiddy) wedding to suspected wife murderer Scott Burnett (Matt Bardock). Greg Campbell, who was formerly accused of the murder, is determined to halt proceedings after PC Steve Hunter (James Lloyd) let news of the wedding slip. So PC Yvonne Hemmingway (Michele Austin) and Steve unsuccessfully make it their mission to keep him at bay. When Greg turns up and punches Steve and Scott to the ground, the registrar announces there is not time to continue with the ceremony. Is the marriage over before it has begun?
Elsewhere, a car crash ends in carnage, and it transpires that Superintendent Adam Okaro’s (Cyril Nri) wife Denise and children, Malcolm and Leah are involved. While his family are being cut from the wreckage, the relief desperately try to contact Adam. Adam’s ex-flame Inspector Gina Gold (Roberta Taylor), comforts semi-conscious Denise at the scene.
Adam is eventually found at the meeting at Barton Street station, which he attended rather than collect his kids from school. How will his conscience deal with him putting the job before his family? Adam arrives at St Hugh’s to be told the traumatic news that his son is dead – will his wife and daughter pull through?
Meanwhile, PC Gabriel Kent (Todd Carty) and PC Sheelagh Murphy (Bernie Nolan) are able to put their kiss behind them and work as a team.
And Sergeant Dale ‘Smithy’ Smith (Alex Walkinshaw) worries that Gina simply will not rest.
