Neighbours has revealed a first look at a terrifying hostage situation involving Eden Shaw and Melanie Pearson.

New spoiler pictures show Eden arrive on Ramsay Street after gatecrashing Krista Sinclair's happy holiday with Leo Tanaka, David Tanaka, Aaron Brennan and Nicolette Stone.

The villain's reappearance is bad news for Melanie, who's home alone at the Kennedys' when Eden pops up unexpectedly.

Show bosses aren't revealing in-depth storyline details for these scenes just yet, but the pictures offer us some early clues of what to expect.

Eden takes control by threatening Melanie with a scalpel and tying her to a chair.

Exactly what the villain wants from Melanie and whether she'll cooperate remains unclear at this stage.

Meanwhile, other pictures show Andrew Rodwell take the lead as the police arrive outside.

Many familiar faces watch on in horror as the frightening scenes unfold ? including Karl Kennedy, Toadie Rebecchi, Terese Willis, Holly Hoyland, Sadie Rodwell and Wendy Rodwell.

Can Andrew resolve the situation and get Melanie to safety?

Neighbours fans can look forward to these scenes airing on Tuesday, February 6 ? just under a fortnight's time.

The Ramsay Street hostage drama plays out in the immediate aftermath of next week's horror holiday episodes, which see Eden and Veronica McLain separately targeting Krista, Leo, David, Aaron and Nicolette on their break.

Neighbours has confirmed that one character won't survive the holiday, teasing in a recent Instagram post: "Next week, get ready for unmissable Neighbours. Someone's not coming home..."

Neighbours has revealed that Paul Robinson and Eden Shaw are hiding a dark secret following David Tanaka's death.

The big twist aired in Monday's episode, as Paul paid a visit to Eden in hospital and gave him a frightening warning.

Paul was left devastated last week as news reached Ramsay Street that his beloved son David had died while on holiday.

Eden sparked the tragedy when he gatecrashed the relaxing break that David was enjoying with Aaron Brennan, Leo Tanaka, Krista Sinclair and Nicolette Stone.

In Monday's episode, major questions remained over how Eden knew where to find his ex-girlfriend Krista and how he discovered that she's expecting his baby.

While quizzed by policeman Andrew Rodwell at the hospital, Eden made out that he followed Krista from Erinsborough. He added that he overheard Krista talking to Leo about the baby when the couple were on a bush walk together.

Krista immediately contradicted this version of events, telling Andrew that she only spoke to Leo about the baby when they were at the holiday rental.

Later, there was a potential answer to the mystery as Paul visited Eden at the hospital. Their heated conversation revealed that they were both hiding something.

Hinting that a secret deal had previously been struck, a desperate Eden said: "You're going to help me. It's only a fair exchange."

Paul replied: "Enough. You don't get to bargain. What you're going to do is you're going to shut your mouth and you're going to keep it shut if you have any sense of self-preservation whatsoever.

"Understand this: you've made an enemy. One who will never, ever give up. So whether you're in jail or out, I'm there. You are done."

Does this mean that Paul was responsible for sending Eden to Krista and Leo and inadvertently causing David's death?

Technically HOLLY is to blame for bringing EDEN to the street. Id like writers to show us a SL involving HOLLY and her guilt in all this. Bringing HOLLY & KRISTA closer together.

But as many of us suspected, PAUL is indirectly responsible for DAVIDs death. He told EDEN about the getaway & pregnancy !

Neighbours has confirmed that Paul Robinson sparked the tragic chain of events that caused the death of his son David Tanaka.

Paul's guilt was revealed in a flashback scene in Tuesday's episode, which explained the secret he shares with Eden Shaw.

Eden caused chaos last week when he gatecrashed David's holiday with Aaron Brennan, Leo Tanaka, Krista Sinclair and Nicolette Stone.

The villain was determined to confront Krista after finding out that she's carrying his baby. However, it wasn't immediately clear how Eden had discovered this ? or how he knew where to find her.

All became clear in the soap's latest episode, as a flashback scene showed Paul and Eden conspiring together in the Lassiters penthouse on the night before David's death.

Paul had spotted that Eden was out on bail following his time in prison and invited him upstairs for a chat.

Desperate to sabotage his son Leo's relationship with Krista, scheming Paul let Eden know about the holiday and Krista's pregnancy.

While it's still unclear how far Paul expected Eden to go, he was later devastated to learn that his meddling had gone spectacularly wrong as Eden's vengeful actions had caused David's death.

Meanwhile, in the present day, Eden escaped from the hospital and held Melanie Pearson hostage at the Kennedy house as he tried to get money to start a life on the run.

When Melanie's ex-husband Toadie Rebecchi grew impatient over the police's delay in helping her, he staged his own daring rescue by sneaking into Number 28 and tackling Eden to the ground.

Toadie's heroics paid off when he managed to overpower Eden, leading to the villain being re-arrested as the police rushed in.
