Denise becomes overwhelmed when her family greet her with birthday celebrations, as she'd completely forgotten about her special day. Jack follows Denise, but when she refuses to open up to him about what's wrong, the wedge between them grows bigger.

Raymond is scared about Denise's behaviour and begs her to go back to being his mummy again. Clearly affected by this, Denise decides that it's time to tell Jack everything.

Later, Nish breaks into the Slater house to confront Stacey, hoping to get the truth from her. Jack interrupts the altercation and sends Nish away. Stacey is grateful to Jack and kisses him. Jack makes a hasty exit, feeling guilty about betraying Denise again.

Meanwhile, Linda tries to support Alfie at The Vic following his latest radiotherapy session. The evening goes well, until Alfie can't get to the toilet on time and has an accident.

Elsewhere, Yolande steps in and tries to protect Denzel from bullies, but she trips up and is filmed by the thugs. Denzel feels guilty for not being able to protect Yolande.

Also today, manipulative Dean is pleased to see Jean and Jade bonding.

The day of baby Charli's guardianship hearing arrives. Denise feels rattled when she learns that Nish was in a row with Jack and Stacey yesterday. Stacey tries to reassure her, but Denise rushes off just as both families are about to walk into the courtroom.

Chelsea urges Denise to seek help from professionals after her recent troubles, while Jack joins a party at the Slater house. Amy ends up soothing Denise as she cries out in her sleep, but Jack isn't there.

Meanwhile, Linda urges Alfie to tell Ian and Billy about his cancer diagnosis so that he receives more support. Alfie tells his friends the truth and they promise to be there for him.

Elsewhere, Denzel lashes out when Nugget teases him over the video which shows him failing to protect Yolande. Ravi invites the boys to the Boxing Den so they can learn a different way to channel their emotions.

Also today, Jean makes it clear to Dean that she's supporting Jade out of loyalty to Shirley and Shabnam rather than him.

Denise wakes up screaming, but Jack still isn't there. When Jack returns home, he claims that he was busy at work. Denise's paranoia grows as she wonders whether Jack's case is connected to the Christmas Day death, and she even steals his phone to find out more.

Later, another row breaks out between Denise and Jack. She lets slip to Penny that Jack slept with someone else. Denise's day takes another surprising turn when she seeks out an unlikely confidante.

Meanwhile, Linda becomes drunk and inconsolable after Ricky sends her a picture of Mick and Janine's baby. Alfie steps in to take her home and she ends up saying more than she should.

Elsewhere, Nish tells Suki that he's reneging on their deal and wants to keep all of the businesses. Nish warns that he'll never divorce Suki and leave her trapped in the marriage if she doesn't agree.

Also today, George gives Denzel some advice when he tries to take things too far while facing off with someone in the boxing ring.

Denise interrupts a fortune telling event at The Vic, sparking concern from Kathy, Stacey and Suki as she looks terrible. The women are shocked when Denise offers to go on stage, looking for some guidance at this difficult time.

Later, Denise's grip on reality slips further once she's back at home.

Meanwhile, Linda worries when Alfie texts her, wanting a further explanation over what she said yesterday. Linda meets with Alfie and tries to put him off the scent.

Elsewhere, Phil tries to gift Kat some money but she hands it back. Phil asks Kat to come home but she can't forgive him. Later, Kat and Nish toast their freedom.

Also today, Amy feels neglected by Denzel as he becomes overly concerned by fitness.
