While the adults are attending the B&B party, Cathy, Heath and Angelica will be seen taking advantage of the situation when they use Wendy?s car for a potentially dangerous joy ride.
Over at the party, Nicola?s intention is for the kids to be helping to serve and Jimmy is sent to track them down, Meanwhile, in the vehicle, Angel and Heath are flirting and encouraging driver Cathy to increase the speed.

Bob then finds that Wendy?s car is missing and manages to get the truth from April, who admits that the teens have taken it. What we see next is Bob haring off to follow them to Hotten, while Nicola hears from Brenda that the kids have gone out joyriding. Back in the car, though, Heath is getting tetchy with Cathy about the speed she?s driving at. Yet a near-miss with another car doesn?t deter a resolute Cathy as she puts her foot down?

Emmerdale teens Heath Hope, Cathy Hope and Angelica King will make a dangerous decision in the show's New Year episode.

The ITV soap will air dramatic scenes as the troublesome trio resort to desperate measures to attend a party in nearby town Hotten.

In the build-up to New Year's Eve, Bob Hope's twin children Heath and Cathy compare notes over the party and come up with a plan to get there at any cost.

Jimmy and Nicola King's daughter Angelica also gets involved as she decides to go along too.

On New Year's Eve, the teens make the most of the adults being preoccupied at the B&B's party.

They steal Wendy Posner's car and take it for a joyride, with their escape going unnoticed until it's too late.

Nicola finally realises that the kids are missing when she wants them to help serve at the party and they're nowhere to be seen. She sends Jimmy off to find them.

Jimmy has no luck, but the reality of the situation becomes clear when Bob discovers that Wendy's car has been stolen.

Bob manages to get the truth by speaking to April Windsor, who was aware of the plan but chose not to get involved. Bob becomes worried and decides that he'll have to follow the trio to Hotten and bring them home.

Nicola enjoys networking at the party, but her efforts are cut short when Brenda Walker pulls her away and explains about the joyriding plan.

Back in the car, Angelica and Heath enjoy flirting and they recklessly encourage Cathy to speed up.

Heath's impatience over Cathy's driving speed builds. When there's a near-miss with another car, it's not enough to stop Cathy from putting her foot down ? but could this end in disaster?

Emmerdale airs these scenes in an hour-long episode on Monday, January 1 at 7pm on ITV1.

As the adults are occupied at the B&B party, Cathy, Angelica and Heath take a joy ride in Wendy's car.

Bob is alarmed when he realises that Wendy's car is missing. Before long Bob has extracted the truth from April about the kids taking the car, and rushes to follow them to Hotten.

Meanwhile, Rhona confirms Marlon's fears, admitting that she has become attached to Ivy as her own baby, but she pleads with him to help make this work within their family. Will Marlon be able to support his wife with what she so desperately needs?

Elsewhere, Amit's attempts to reconcile are unappreciated.

Also today, Chas is glad to have Aaron at The Woolpack for New Year, while Sam is consoled by Mandy as he misses Lydia.

Finally, Mandy congratulates Belle on the engagement. Belle is surprised to hear that Tom has already announced it online.
