Christmas Day is a family affair for the residents of Coronation Street as Weatherfield's finest gather together at their respective houses to reflect over the last 12 months and look forward to what the future holds.

Tracy is unimpressed to realise she is cooking for ten at the Barlows, and a joke about relationship gap years causes some friction between her and Steve.

Popping over to the flower shop to find a bottle of wine, Tracy finds herself serving Tommy Orpington, who has seized the opportunity to get a last minute gift for his mum.

Peter gives Carla a beautiful present, a silver bracelet inscribed with 'P loves C'. But he is shocked when she reveals what she has bought him.

Over at the builder's yard flat, Paul and Billy look forward to a peaceful Christmas Day with a film and a bottle of fizz. But Gemma and Chesney are worried when she can't get hold of Paul.

Fearing Paul might have had a fall, Chesney and Todd break down the door and get more than they bargained for. Back at Chesney and Gemma's, Bernie video calls the family from prison. Together they sing ?Away in a Manger'.

At No.3, Ed watches guiltily as the family unwrap the few meagre presents they managed to salvage and he feels even worse when he unwraps the watch inscribed with 'For the World's Best Dad. Our Hero'. Alya calls round and invites them all to join her family at Speed Daal for Christmas lunch.

In the caf?, a tipsy Evelyn and Mary help Roy prepare the Christmas dinner. Evelyn opens her present from Roy and is genuinely touched to see what he bought her.

In the bistro, the Platts and the Websters take their seats and peruse the menu.

Carla and Peter look back over their tumultuous relationship and realise that, although they will always love each other, maybe they are better off apart.

As they sit down to their last supper together, will these soulmates be able to come to terms with a future without each other?

As Peter heads out of the flat with his hold-all, closely followed by Carla, he's touched and surprised to find the whole family, with the exception of Simon, waiting outside.

Peter exchanges emotional farewells with each of them and promises Ken that he'll keep in touch.

Craig calls at No.3 and admits that they've been unable to trace the burglar.

Joel calls at the builder's yard and tells Ed that he's got a wealthy client who's looking for a decent and honest builder and he'll put in a good word for him.

Sean and Izzy present Michael with a Wendy house for Glory, explaining how they all clubbed together and bought it from a pawn shop.

Michael is surprised to realise it's the exact same Wendy house that was stolen. Michael tells Craig about the Wendy house and Craig promises to look into it.

Meanwhile, when Carla reveals that she and Peter have parted company, Roy's concerned for her. Carla announces she's going to work from home and hurries out, almost knocking a lad called Bobby over on the factory steps.

Bobby calls at the Street Cars flat. Carla buzzes him in, expecting a pizza delivery boy. When Bobby reveals that he's Rob Donovan's son, Carla is completely thrown.

Bobby spins Carla a sob story but Rob phones and puts Carla in the picture. Carla agrees that Bobby can stay a few weeks, if he plays by her rules. Bobby is thrilled.

Elsewhere, Paul admits to Billy and Gemma that he's suffering from back pain and he's disappointed when a PA calls Moses arrives and says he is standing in for Jim, Paul's usual PA. But Moses proves a godsend as he massages Paul's back and gets rid of the pain.

Also today, Roy spots the Porsche in the garage and realises it belongs to a customer and Cassie took it without their consent. Kevin and Abi are horrified to discover a huge scratch on the car's side panel. Cassie suggests to Kevin that perhaps Abi has started drinking again and she scratched the Porsche whilst drunk.

In the caf?, Eliza puts in her earpods and refuses to engage. Yasmeen and Alya are worried for her, knowing how upset she was when Dom failed to turn up for Christmas. Stu feels wretched. Stu calls Dom and leaves a message for him, telling him that Eliza is very upset and he fears he made a mistake.

The Bailey family are reeling from the discovery of Ed's gambling. Michael wants him gone. Dee Dee is furious that both Joel and Ronnie knew about Ed's gambling.

Todd finds Ed in the precinct ginnel, with the weight of the world on his shoulders. Ed tells him about his gambling problem, how the family hates him but they don't know the worst. Ed decides to come clean.

Meanwhile, Stu finally admits to Yasmeen that it's his fault Dom did a disappearing act as he paid him ?10,000 to stay away from Eliza, thinking it was in her best interests and now he won't come back. Yasmeen's horrified.

Yasmeen confides in Roy about Stu's duplicitous behaviour and how yet again she's fallen for a man who does nothing but lie to her.

Elsewhere, as Carla and Bobby head out of the flat, a van pulls up. When the driver opens the van doors, Bobby recognises all his possessions and realises that his mum must have sent them on. Carla's gutted to realise he's here to stay.

Simon offers Bobby his bedroom and announces that he'll go and stay at his mum's. Carla finds Bobby in the Chariot Square bar chatting up Debbie and drags him home.

Also today, Jenny breaks the news to Daisy that their bid was accepted and The Rovers is now officially theirs. Daisy hugs Jenny in excitement. In the caf?, Jenny and Daisy discuss the reopening of the pub. When Daniel heads over and tells Daisy he'd like a chat, she's left hopeful that he might want to try again.

Daisy tells Jenny she's spoken to Waterford's and they've agreed that they can reopen the pub in time for New Year's Eve. Jenny's delighted.

Finally, Moses calls for Paul and suggests they go shopping as the fresh air will do him good. Moses and Paul return from their shopping trip. Todd clocks Moses as he struggles to get the key in the door. Clearly smitten, Todd dashes over to help.
