New MSN virus

Well i didn't open it just clicked out of the convo and restarted machine to run a virus check and now my msn aint working :angry:

Someone i know on MSN got that and it messed up there MSN and comp, luckily she managed to get bk into her old MSN and transfer all her things over to her new MSN, luckily i havent recieved it, yet!

Me and my friend's cousin was kind of experimenting.. and we found out when we used old MSN or more like when he did.. it didn't send it to me and when he signed in twice with MSN 7.. he sent it to me..

So this means its something with the MSN 7..

Yeah i get them too on blueyonder i dont even use that account anymore refuse to open it just in case.

My friend open that virus and now he cant do anything on the computer it also freezes his anti virus thingy before he can even run a scan

Trojan horse hey.. very common I heard.. Hey guys best thing to do now is all donwload virus programs and pop-up block chekers to keep rid of viruses and to deleate the hidden ones you already have xx

Ok well he said he deleated it somehow.. and he right as its not sending it to me anymore.. Dont bother asking me how to deleate it if you don't understand this because Im not sure myself but hope it works xx

go into safe mode and then delete it

or/and

going into programme files and then into control panel

You can also find another programme from Microsoft called an Anti Virus spyware (beta) its a free download as well, very good one too

Maybe we could put something in our name.. a certain symbol at the beggining of everyone's name to warn people?? I don't know lol..

Loads of things seem to be wrong with MSN 7, as friends of mine get loads of pop-ups and viruses from just downloading it- thats why i haven't bothered.

To get rid of this virus like spicy said got into safe mode
Go to search for files and folders
Type Block
A few folders will come up and a little icon with an msn guy wearing a hat if you delete these in safe mode and clear them from you bin then that should be it cleared :D

click f8 while starting up just keep pressing it and it will take you to the safe mode screen

2 years ago before I got 3 virus programs and 2 pop-up blocker programs I had plenty of viruses.. they can't spread but I got it... I had to save everything onto 2 packs of floppy's and clena out my WHOLE computer from then Im safe!!

I got them but then I scanned my computer 3 times each time using a different program and now its all gone!!

Go into safe mode go to start and then search type block three or four files will come up on of them will be an msn guy with a hat delelte all of them and then remove then from your rubbish bin and restart that should clear it

i had downloaded it and then after i had uninstalled it, i realised it was a virus, so now i've virus scanned my machine and told people- they refuse to believe- more the fool them! but yeah. don't get it- it lures you in but really it's a virus

Sometimes guys, it is passed on through people who have it ont heir msn and you talking to them so use the search option on your comp to search for any files of block checker. My firend Sian hadn't downloaded it, but she still had it somehow

the safe mode option is the only way to get rid of it apparently

Yeah thats it press f8 until it comes up and then select safe mode

click start go into search and type BLOCK delete all the files (a wee msn guy will come up with a hat on) then delete them all from you recycle bin and restart your computer then that should be it

lol well it worked for me and a few other people look through the theard and see how many other people have done it

well, i did it, and i hope it worked. there was no msn guy for me, so i don't know if it did it. i didnt delete all the files that it found because some were realted to imagery programs

I got sent the link, but my MSN and computer is generally still working fine. I ran an ad-aware check, and cleared all the stuff that came up, and i've run an AVG check and cleared that, and it still seems ok

I reckon i'll wait till tomorrow and see if its still alright, before going through all the safe mode stuff. Its not like a clicked on the link, and i have a mega high fire wall as well, so i think it'll be alright

It is true because when my friend sent it to me on msn i thought i would check it out as i didn't know what it was, i then realised i had a really big virus on my pc!!I just blamed it on my brother, btu it really messed up my pc, so what ever you do don't open it!!
