Banner Tutorial for Animation Shop 3

Hi, a lot of you have been asking how to make the animation banners, so i've decided to try and do you a little tutorial on how to make them.

So here goes it.

This is the banner i'm going to show you how to make:-

First of all open up the programme, you should then have a screen like this:-

Ok the next thing you need is you banner frame, so you need to go to File and "New"

Then the pixels you need are 525 x 125.

You should then have a frame like this:-

Now once you've done that, you need to select some pictures that you want to go in your banner.

Right now, in the same way that you make a normal banner you need to add your first picture, Copy, Paste

This is then what your banner should look like so far:-

Next, you need to right click on your banner so far, and click on "Duplicate Selected"

Then continue to add your pictures, doing the smae as above, but remember to duplicate each frame after you've pasted your picture.

This is the basic principle, on what to do.

Next we need to change the timing so again right click on you banner and then click on "Frame Property's" now i usually have mine on about 50

You will need to do this for all the frames that you've made so far.

Right now we are gonna add and effect, so click on effect along the top row

Then you can choose the affect you want, in this case i've choosen "Compress"

Now i'm going to choose some more pictures and add them from the other end of the banner

Continue to do this, but remember to "Duplicate Selected" after each picture you add to the frame.

Right now, i'm going to add the word. You need to click on the "A" Then click on the banner where the want the word to be and type, it will appear on a new screen part.

If you want it to appear in a sequence you need to repeat each step remembering to "Selected Duplicate" after each word add, the same as when adding a picture.

Right this is how i've worked out to do them, they may well be an easier way, and there are may different thing you can do as well.
But i hope this helps you all for now.

It seems that some of you didn't know how to re-size the pictures so that they fit in your banner so here we go:-

You need to bring up the picture you want in Paint Shop Pro,

Then you need to Click on Image and then "Resize", i usually go for about 150 x 125.

And then you can copy and paste your picture back over to animation shop

Nope, it's used with a programme called paint shop pro.

i cant do it :( i got this free trial. and i tried it and it went wrong :( i'll keep at it though :) and by the way when i resized mine i didnt go into psp you can do it on animation shop.

Is it too big, as in do you have too much animation on it?

why is it when i paste the picture i cut half their faces off?

Maybe you need to resize the picture to the right size as your banner. Eg: your banner is 525 x 125, i'll put the picture on at about 150 x 125, the height needs to be the same if you don't wanna chop parts off. Hope that makes sense.

It is possible to do it on Paint, which you should have if you are running windows 98 or above, but you do have to guess the size a bit.

Right click on the picture(s) you want and then go to 'save picture as'.

Depends who you want i usually just search the name in google and see what it comes up with
