Screen Brightness

Does anyone have any idea how to adjust the brightness of a Dell Inspiron laptop? Mine has just arrived today but the screen is really dark and I can hardly see anything on it.

Doesn't matter, I run the helpline and they reckon it could be a problem with the screen's backlight.

Try right clicking on your desktop background, click on Properties and go through them options and see.

Dell are sending someone round to collect and fix it tomorrow. They told me that the backlight is faulty and they need to fit a new screen.
