Conflicted Jacob and Victoria struggle with their feelings

Emmerdale's Jacob Gallagher and Victoria Barton spend the night together next week.

The pair decide to start seeing each other in secret, knowing that the truth about their romance would devastate Jacob's dad David Metcalfe.

In upcoming scenes, David tries to move on from Victoria by experimenting with a dating app. Sadly, things go wrong when he accidentally agrees to a date that he didn't want.

David asks Jacob to make his excuses to his latest match, Abby. Jacob feels sorry for Abby and offers to have a drink with her, but Victoria feels jealous as she watches them together.

Once Abby leaves, Jacob speaks to Victoria and they share a passionate kiss.

Victoria initially pulls away, but by the time the evening is over, she agrees to let him stay the night with her.

The next day, David's father Eric Pollard worries about him being so fixated on Victoria. Eric suggests that it's time for David to move on, but he clearly has other ideas.

Jacob and Victoria are loved-up after spending the night together, but they panic when David arrives unexpectedly.

As Jacob hides, Victoria shares an awkward interaction with David and manages to get rid of him. David is left confused by her odd behaviour.

Later, Jacob is relieved when an oblivious David promises that he's finally ready to forget about Victoria. Once Jacob leaves, it becomes clear that this isn't the case as David still believes he's in with a chance.

Actor Matthew Wolfenden recently filmed his final scenes as David. He has confirmed that the drama involving Jacob and Victoria will pave the way for David's departure.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Gail and Oscar get along well, but an awkward Ryan hangs back feeling the odd one out. When the conversation turns to music, relieved Ryan finds a way in. Watching on, Sophie is conflicted about the bond that is starting to form.
